do add the port displacement to the rest of the internal volume when getting your volume for the woofers?

$300 isn't bad. these are gonna be the badest woofers yet for the 8" category. im stoked. im gonna have to save up and get 2 of them. any test vids and release dates yet?

so the 1200? they seem to be bumping pretty good for only 1200. but why underpower them and not get sumthing that is closer to the 1600 rms? im not saying theres anything wrong with the 1200. can these subs handle more?

Im just finishing up my new box for 4 8" SA's. Its a center console box for a ford ranger. Its 2.4 cu.ft. after displacement ported @34hz. Wat amp would work the best with these for a daily driver? Sundown, kicker, rockford are wat im lookin at. $550 is my limit. thanks guys.

im designing an SPL enclosure for 2 8" L7's. I have a 99 ranger single cab with '87 mustang buckets. im trying to make a ported wedge shaped enclosure that will fit between the seats. trying to put a 2.0 cu. ft. box in there for max SPL. Behind the seats are my amps and dry cell battery(s).

So i guess my question would be " Are wedge shaped boxes that are ported good for SPL?" I went to R-F to get specs of a wedge 2 style box and im working on the port specs now. I was thinkin bout using an L- Shaped port in there. I could really use sum help on this. thanks

I have a 99 ford ranger single cab 2.5L. i have 1 8" kicker L7 in a ported box and plan on adding one more. 900 wrms altogether with both subs. i have a kicker zx450.2 currently (plan to add one more zx450.2)and a 8 farad cap. so should i get a dry cell batt. or a bigger amp? thanks

I have a 2008 8" L7 dual 2ohm sub. I am lookin to put in my single cab 99 ford ranger. I wanna make a ported box that goes in between my bucket seats. i have an 06 ZX450.2 amp. bridged - 450 watts rms @4 ohms. The dimensions im workin with are 13" tall, 25" long, and 11" wide. i wanna have the sub and the port in the front facing the same way. i was wondering if anyone can help me design a ported box. needs to be 1.0 cu. ft. i would really appreciate it. if not then can sumone tell me a good ported box calculator kinda like the RE box calaculator. i heard that isn't reliable. thanks.
