  1. You don't have to remove the old wires just add the new to it, so just unscrew the nut on the alt and add the larger wire and add the others to the chassis and battery.

Im not removing the old wires, i was gonna add to it, i was gonna remove the stock adapter and add a new one because the bolt on my stock adapter is so short i cannot add to it

  2. Alright So I bought a lot of parts and wire for the big three, and i am getting a 230 amp alt, so i decided to go and do the big three so that when my alt gets here all i have to do is install it. Well the big three on my car is so freakin difficult. 1 it's a side mount, 2 the stock wires are so freakin short, i dont think i can even cut the old adapter off and put my new stinger side mount adapter on because the wires are so short. There are the wires going into the adapter, then there is a positive and a ground that run towards the windshield (fuse box maybe). So right now im just in I HATE MY LIFE mode until i can figure out what to do, if anybody has ideas please help. The reason i want a bigger alt and the big 3 is because the stock wiring on it is like 8 gauge or 10 maybe. and there is barely any space to cut the wires or put the terminals on or anything there is a big piece that runs to the air filter right by the battery. Any ideas, advice, or information would be appreciated please.

This isn't mine but here is a pic of under the hood

  3. whats the best style hide away box to still get good sq but get loud as well? im getting a e8 that im going to be putting in my 98 explorer running 250 rms to it wondering if anyone has any ideas

You could probably use the same concept as the jl audio stealth boxes. i have heard a few and they get nice sq and loud. you could build one yourself using different specs, and it should come out nice

  4. if i can get 2 runs of 0, 6 rca's, and 12 speakers worth or speaker line to tuck under a toyota carpet, im sure you can get a run of 0 under your carpet

like it was said before, going under the car is if you're doing an obscene amount of runs, or if going through the car isnt possible. I'd go under as a last resort, and in the dozens of installs i've done, i've never had to resort to that.
