  1. Guy doing the 160s has 2 15 DD 99z I believe to 4 stetsom 7dk on 16v. He is switching to the 10kds as we speak.

That was me with the first Stetsom amps to hit North America, 4x7kd's on 12v I used two DD 9915z's Point of interest those amps had no modifications and factory fuses still in tact, four and a half year old amps, I changed them out to the 14k2d's and with 2x14k2d am doing the same numbers. I now have four of them in there........More to come!

  2. I doubt that it's rust. It's probably excess flux from when the amp was built. If you have a soldering iron try heating a bit of it, if it bubbles/steams off with a kinda sickly smell then it's flux :)

I wouldnt mess with this amp, unless you know what you are doing........It is much easier to send it to someone that knows how to fix it and does the job right the first time. I would highly suggest Chris at [email protected] he is the man when it comes to fixing amps. Just my $.02

  3. Yep Clif Designs was more of your mid 90's 3 level stuff to compete with PG, RF, Orion, PPI etc etc. I think they had there better stuff around the same time Orion did the Orion 2250 Beast amp. hahah I loved that amp. :D

You can buy them in the Wholesale House cateloge, flea market stuff.........unless you get the high end stuff, but I would suggest you remember the saying "you get what you pay for" and a 10k amp for 800?????????

  4. Greetings!

My name is Steve and I live in Pasadena (the first one) Maryland. I came on here to rep my products and answer questions and quell misconseptions. I am a 4 time Db-Drag World Finalist and hold the Maryland State SPL record for five years. I was the first person to use Stetsom Amps in North America, the first to take them to finals and the longest user of this product in America!!! I look in on lots of sights and answer lots of questions. I am not and electronics geek but have a direct line to the designer of these amps and depend on him lots of the time for answers. I built my car for music and found that I could burp a fair number too so that is what I do. Music is first for me though. I admire Steve Meade's builds as they are for music too! Hope to be able to help people with amplifier choices as we have 52 amplifiers in ourline. Here is a you tube of my car, Hope you like it!!!!

  5. THAT WAS SOOOO AMAZING!!!! i fuckin loved it in there...whats so awesome about it...is that that with that much power it plays all the notes...of coarse some louder than others but it plays EVERYTHING...its so clean and precise. the initial hit is a strong punch all over...my back tingled when i got out haha.

nightshade-oh there was a happy ending ;) haha

and kranny...i dont think i ever blocked anybody...whats your username on youtube....ill check and see if i did you must have just caught me on a bad day ad pissed me off

Marlo-at the show sealed up he did a 155.8 and he didnt even go all the way..still had a few more clicks

Hopefully in the winter he will put an amp on each sub :good: that should get those subs wanging!!!

  6. belive what you want man ive seen it he has runs 2 candence ia 9's on his 18's if you turn the gains down a lil you can do it

edit:plus you can get a stiffer spider

I ran two 9515 on 4 Earthquake phd5000's and 2 stetsom 7kd's daily. For burp I ran 4-Stetsom 7kd's and 2 14k2d's, Only burned coils once and the first subs lasted almost two years on the d5's, reconed for lower impedience and ran the 7kd's ttwo years without burning. The Neos are a different story with 3500 watts i burned them on music......

  7. Yea there is alot of hype going on about this amp. i personally wanna see what this thing can do. If anyone is interested in this amp please contact me. i will message you how to get one, or any other stetsom product.m In case you dont know how to get a hold of sales reps.

This amp is available for sales in America and is 303usd, the interesting thing about this amp is it is a half bridge design, that means that you can series these amps together after matching output voltage you can take the positive of one amp to the sub the negative to the positive of the second amp and the negative out to the speaker. Just like you would bridge an a/b class amp.

You can email me at [email protected] for more infor or invoice request

  8. I also want to know why you can't use this amp daily...

Yea me too. I run this amp daily, all my Maryland Team mates use it daily. There are a hundred or so of these amps here in cars now BANGING away. They do have a big consumption of power but as long as you have the battery to support it this amp is great for daily. In the beginning of Stetsoms existence here in North America people were trying to use the 7kd's on one battery....poof....up in smoke. When those guys first got their amps I had been using them in my car daily for over a year with NO problems. I am the first person to use these amps in North America and the first to take them to Finals. I still have those amps with the factory fuses in them and they work fine. I just removed them from my xterra this year to use the 14k2d's. Two 14k's make the same number as 4 7kd's. Well, .2 louder. I am the North American Sales Rep for Stetsom and since I took this post last summer I talk to everyone that I can to make sure that they can support the amp. If you have any questions on this amp or any in our line (52 amplifiers) you can email me @ [email protected] or call me at 443-623-4952.
