Glad i got to enjoy it before it got erased.. This got me through my afternoon at work..

I just wanted to throw this into the discussion. I have been into car audio/comps since the late 90's and always had a decent system, but never did a large build. About 4 years back I was going through some hard times and stumbled across some of your videos, and they really inspired me to get back into it and do a big system (to get my mind off of things). I emailed you saying that I was going to start my build and thanked you for the motivation.. This was your response **
wussup Sam, i am at work and SLAMMED today, i just wanted to let you know i saw this and say thank you very much!! i do appreciate it!!! You wont regret getting RF amps bro they are amazing!! later man steve ** Since that time my build has grown to what it is today, i have met a lot of people who share the hobby and had a great time in the process.. you took the time to respond then (3-4 years ago) and from what i have seen you havent changed.. i really cannot see how anyone can hate on that..

Nice! It sounded good when i heard it last month! Id love to check it out now!

Looks good man. Im also running 4 - 18" NSv2. Great subs!

Dope vids Kranny.. wish I was able to make it to this..
Go to the DTF show this Saturday, will be demo city down there...
Im going to try and make it, if I can work the kinks out of my setup by then I will be there. I saw a few of the DOA cars when I brought my truck to Polekatz strip club show last year in Hammond, all nice/impressive rides!

The RF T15001BDCP doesnt have an adjustable subsonic filter.. it is just on or off.. I currently have it set on.. I think it is approx 28hz
-
For sure! Thanks! Maybe at the end of the day they just are getting enough power..

Thanks for the input. I would say for the first week that may have been MOST of it, but we took literally 2 weeks of sealing/bracing/foaming/rodding everything to get it as tight as can be. It looks like I can take the box down to about 19 cubes and just shrink the port by 1/2 inch on each side to keep my tuning the same.
-
I would say around 32hz
-
So do you suggest taking the box down to about 19 cubes and maybe slightly less port to maintain my tuning?
-
I was wondering if I can get the advice of some more experienced box builders on my current setup. I am running 4 - 18" Sundown Zv2 subs, each powered by a RF T15001bdcp amp. The box/wall is 39H x 49W x 28.5D.. Port is 30H x 10W x 17.5D.. With the baffle/woofer/bracing removed I am coming out to about 21.3 cubes and tuned to about 34hz according to the box calculator. The subs/box sound good, but at times the subs just sound as if they are working too hard on the low notes (sorry I dont know any other way to describe it, almost sounds like they are free air). I have set the gains w/ an O-scope, so I am fairly sure I am not clipping. I was wondering if perhaps my box/port are just too big and maybe I should make both a little smaller. Any input would be greatly appreciated. You can also see my build log in my sig to see the setup if that helps at all.

North Suburbs here

I have always liked Lost Boyz - Renee and Common - I used to love H.E.R.
Both good story telling songs..

Sometimes if the cops are real dicks by me they will just impound it for good, you can't even get it back.
I knew someone from Chicago would mention that. My boy had his car impounded for "noise pollution" had to pay a bunch of money to get it out of the lot, storage fees, then the ticket on top of all that.
-
Or if anyone has a good module that would allow me to control all four of my sub amps together.. id be willing to consider.
-
They said the they expect more to be available in aug/sept.. no refurbs avail..

After hooking up my Maxx-Link, it turns out to be DOA. The company I bought it from is jacking me around on the warranty and claims it will not be available again for 2-3 months. Also I cannot find it available anywhere online or locally. Does anyone have one available? I would be willing to take it in almost any condition, as long as it is fully functional. Thanks!

yes i know im not exactly in the best shape and i didnt plan on posting this at all.......but, it was EXCRUCIATING pain and it cost me 2 hours of shop time to fix so i figured what the hell. I did this tattoo on myself in the early 90's, upside down with a home made machine with a #12 guitar string for a needle. It looked pretty good at the time and was tip-shaded. I attempted sometime in the mid-90's to fill it in myself and didnt know anything about multi needle machines.......i only knew jail-house style, home made with guitar string. As you can imagine, it didnt go well. Thats a LOT of filling for a single needle and ON YOURSELF. It looked barely OK but i left it like that for the longest time. I have never had the intention to remove it and i have no regrets......but i always wanted it fixed. Last night, i finally got Bill to repair it for me.
i do not remember it hurting this bad hahah......HOLY SHIT. Not to sound like a sissy but this was one of the worst i have. The "S" was very hard to get thru, the A wasnt AS BAD but still hurt......and the "C" was fucking NARLY. Maybe because its by my ribs and thats a painful spot. Anyway, here it is in all of its DARKNESS haha
he was going to do some shading around the lettering but after he started i said FUCK THAT fix the letters and im done hahah!!
I feel your pain man.. When I got my stomach done I was 18 and it was BY FAR the worst out of all my tattoos, worse then my rib-cage. I remember feeling like if I took a deep breath it would push the needle in deeper and if I didnt breath I would pass out.. no win situation.. lol.. The work looks dope..

Email sent as well. I placed an order in August for NSv3 18s, but was waiting for the SPL cones. I hope this doesn't postpone or delay my order any longer.
