  1. If you got to 40 then that would be 1600 watts, but that has nothing to do with the amp blowing. You should have been looking for around 33.5 volts for 1 ohm, if you where looking for 1100 watts. But I have heard of amps blowing during testing with no load connected to set gains, usually means that something is just defective, weak parts. Clipping wouldn't hurt the amp unless there was load connected.

    time to send the amp to dbr. shoud be about 200 including the cost of shipping both ways

    Dbr? And the amps under warranty. Besides, the amp new is like 180.99. I sent it to soundstream. i'll hear what they have to say about the coverage on it. it IS under warranty, i've only had it 1 month of the year. but i don't know if they'll cover it.

    ya dbr. they are an amp repair company that has a very good reputaion. if its under waranty then they SHOULD fix it

    or send you a brand new one of the latest model. thats what kicker and fosgate does if you blow their woofers and its

    still under warranty.

  3. Cool thing with dual 2's is you could wire down to .5 ohm and really make it boom...LOL

    oh ya thanks guy lol i actually got some d2s dc woofers, will the audiopipe run at .5ohm on good electrical?

    if so i might buy a 1500d audiopipe amp and try it at .5. sorry not trying to thread jack althow im onto somthing

  4. You can buy a knu 4 gauge kit for 27 that 6 gauge is really 8 gauge btw i wouldnt run it for anything but sub wire. Now the scoshe flux wire thats good wire. Completely different from walmarts version tho.

    klmx wire is like running pepsi cans its aluminun ive had their 1/0 gauge, ide rather buy 3 amp kits from walmart and save 20 bucks plus its copper

    False. And i gurantee you've never ran it just read what people say. Sure theres better out there but scohse from walmart no. And what are you going to do with 3 kits?

    i bought 50foot from them quite awile ago
