  1. wait so your saying if i use the sub out on the hu it will render the mids/highs useless?
  2. oh okay, so then would i have to turn off the high pass filter in the hu and set all the eq's to 0?
  3. I was looking at a diagram and it just shows one set of rca's going from the hu to the eq, so i was wondering what you do if you have 3 pre amp outputs on the hu?
  4. The specs say 1000 rms but i was wondering if they are able to take more than a thousand rms?
  5. Alright well im about finished with my build, all i have to do is set the gains on my amps. I dont have an o-scope but i do have a multi meter so i was wondering if it is better for me to just take my car down to a local shop and have them do it with an o-scope, or if im okay just setting the gains with my dmm?
  6. idk does ur mom shit on my chest haha jk jk but ill take that as a yes on them being re-coned.
  7. Im not to sure but so i want to make sure they are because im going to buy some from jack on the forum
  8. alright so ive been trying to figure this out but im not sure and id like some second opinions just to clarify. so im trying to get down to a 1 ohm load with 2 subs. I was looking at getting the 15" havocs from Ascedent Audio and they are only dual 2 ohm coils and when i went to the rockford fosgate website to use their wiring wizard it said i could only get a .5,2, or 8 ohm load. now i was thinking, if i wire both subs up in parallel and have give them there own terminals on the box, can i bridge the terminal to make a 1 ohm load. these are both dual 2 ohm vc subs, so shouldnt this give me a 1 ohm load going into the amp?
  9. well originally i was going to get kicker cvx 15 with dual 4 ohm voice coils because i need to make a 1 ohm load and i know i cant do that with the 2 ohm subs. so im not really sure if the dvc 1 ohm subs will be able to make a 1 ohm load... so im kinda confused right now.
  10. I just called one of dc's dealers and they quoted me $800 for 1 15" dc lvl 4 xl. Is that a normal price for them or is that way to high.
  11. just a cheap pioneer hu and some old alpine speakers and two cvr 12's runnin off a profile amp
  12. i have a set of the ddm tuning hid kits and they work excellent. All my friends ended up getting them and my dad even ordered a set this weekend for his truck. it was easy to get ahold of them and it only took to days to get them.
  13. heres what i have going into my second build. I've only got about half the stuff maybe a little more than half. next things i have to order are my Subs and then the alternator. I was going to get a flip out dvd player but im going to be getting a new car in about a year and will end up moving everything into the new whip. so i just got and inexpensive cd player that is still good. Im got 2 sets of these about a month or two ago but decided i want to sell them and get two component sets instead. Well got one set for the kick panels now i just have to sell the coaxial speakers and get two more sets of components. got this to run all eight speakers. i already have some kenwood 4x10s in the back thats why theres no pics of them and i got this beast to push the 2 cvx 15s im ordering in a week some 0 gauge for the power and ground... and the box that im halfway done building for the 15s all i got to do is fiberglass it soo there you have it, ill keep u updated as much as i can
  14. ya i am going to get a 260 amp alternator so that should be enough for the amps
  15. I just ordered a new amp today and its stable at 1,2 and 4 ohms and i was planning on running it at 1 ohm and wanted to make sure it wouldnt be bad for it.
  16. well then if the amp wont put out that much power then i dont have to worry about sending too much to the subs
  17. im wanting them to slam hard but still sound clean so i was thinking about building a sealed enclosure but i want my subs to be heard from like down the street. and i dont know if the sealed box will do that for me, because right now i have 2 12's in a ported box at 1000 rms and my friend says he can hear me coming down his street. and the 15's will be at 2600 watts rms by the way
  18. he used his iphone and it was going to the headunit. my cousin has the same h/u and i can do it with my iphone and itouch
