    i always wondered if u already have a kenwood deck, could u just buy a different kenwood face plate and just put it right on the head unit and it will work?

    No you have to think of the programming INSIDE the actual CD player. A face plate is like a sticker. Can come off but has no actual means. Other then to work the HU :)

    the 693 is just this years version of a 692 not the 493. the 493 is the new version of a 492. the 693 has a usb cord that comes out from the back of the deck so you can mount it where ever you want within 2-1/2 feet from hu. the 693 has more options like multicolor display, 5 line display so you don't have to wait for everything to scroll to see what your listening to. the 693 folds down to help keep the dust out which is nice! 693 also has more options in the menus and a really cool x-over feature that the 493 doesnt have. just my $.02.

    Hmmmm. I do like that it has alot more options so I might just order the 693 and call it a day lol.

    What Head Unit is better in terms of pre amp voltage and just performance??

    pep can easily see that they favor her more in her decistion that she makes and not mine. for example, she dropped out of college and came home and my dad opened her up a dance studio instead of making her get a job and working for her shit. while im sitting here working two jobs paying all of my schooling, while he gave her $300-400 month to eat on and so forth. I'm not looking for a handout, but when its so damn obvious you got to point it out

    Same shit my mom is doing to my brother. Im just waiting until he takes it the max.

    Well im about to be 18 :D! And ive already got the money and shit towards a little apartment. 2 bedrooms, one bath, living room ETC. But my family is worse man. Every other day my mom accuses my stepdad of cheating. Which he is but she never does shit about it.

    But ill be living with one of my bestfriends. Get his ass into car audio for sure :).
