My first system was a planet audio big bang 15, boss rip695 (upgrading to an aq1200d on thursday), and a jvc kd-r600. Also, recently built a new box, 2.5 cubes at 34 hz.

It depends on the options you get on the bl's. They're both rated at 1000 wrms. Also, the bl's are a bit more expensive.
-
The hdc3s are rated at 1000 wrms, but if you know what you're doing they can take more than that. I would take the aq's over the lanzars everyday, all day.
-
Look into the audioque hdc3s, they're beastly. I think it was AMIcustoms that said it, they were meant to crush the air.
-
Don't AQ2200D on the RF.
Fi BL vs RF P1 is a huge range of RMS ratings along with price....A budget would be more helpful.
Yeah, definitely don't put the aq on the p1s. I meant on the bl's. You could also look into the level 3s or level 4s, depending on your budget
-
As far as an amp is concerned, you could throw em on an aq2200d, if you have the electrical to support it. Also depends on how many bl's you get

Nice lookin ride. What's the damage? Lol

looks like its going to be a killer product, can't wait.

Try hardwiring with an Ethernet cord and see if it works then

given that from the pics, the sub only has a single set of tinsil leads, i think it's safe to assume it's not a quad
coiled, add to the fact that the OP clearly states it's dual 4s...
audiobahn used to run similar terminals as well as several others, they are there purely to help you wire them in parallel, anyone who's tried to stuff 2 runs of decent sized cable into
the single terminal will attest to it not being fun...
so basically you run you positive from the amp, into the positive on one side, then from the 2nd postive terminal on that side, into the opposite sides positive... then repeat for negative... at the end you should be left with 1
pos, and 1neg input on the sub
empty...
this is assuming your wiring in parallel for a 2ohm load...
I get it now. Those terminals confused the shit out of me for the longest time. It's good to finally understand. I am going to be wiring in parallel once I get my new amp.

They are exactly like that hyper.
-
That's what I was going to do. Im pretty sure I'm getting an aq1200d, but I wasn't sure if I could just use one positive and one negative on each side, or if I would have to use both because there's 8 total terminals
-
It has 2 voice coils
I understand that, hence dual 4 ohm. However, 99% of the dvc woofers I see only have one positive and one negative per side.
-
I have a planet audio big bang 15 (bb15d), dual 4 ohm. It has two positives and two negatives on each side of the woofer, and I was wondering if anyone knew why.

The bucs have been doin alright, but I think the saints have some momentum and confidence going into this game after beating the falcons last week.
WHO DAT?!

i appreciate the quick responses. thanks.

i was thinking about buying an audioque hdc3 18 and powering it with an audioque 1200d. anyone have experience with the hdc3 18?
-
xs power might have a battery that will fit under the hood without cutting shit. talk to nate.
-
i would go with 4 gauge, just to be safe. 8 gauge is baby power wire.
-
the audioque hdc3's are pretty sick.
-
email or call nathan at xs power, he'll be able to help you out.
-
im interested. what battery would fit in a 2001 chevy cavalier stock location? i plan on running an aq1200d with a stock alt for now. also, how would i go about ordering? im still pretty new to the forum.
-
would i be able to run a fully loaded fi bl 15 with a hifonics brutus 1700.1d at 1 ohm without ruining the woofer? the amp is rated at 1700 watts rms at 1 ohm, but the sub is only rated at 1000w rms. appreciate the help.
most efficient port.

From what I've heard you don't get port noise with the aero ports
