I have a buyer lined up for mine. If it doesn't work out I will hit you up and let you know.
-
Make sure you sand the bare MDF before putting anything on it. The glue and sealers they use in it will change how things adhere to it.
-
How much power are you putting to it?
900 rms (via SoundStream DTR1.400)
900 watts to a 600 watt sub with a clipped signal=Funny smells

I'm planning a trip to get married in Vegas later this year. I have looked into all the major hotels but some of the reviews make it hard to pick one. One guest says the place is amazing, the next says it is horrible . Anybody with good advice??
-
Ok how do I put up the pics. The one thing I need to know the right way to do is the rear deck.I am going to fiberglass the deck an put 5.25 speakers back there. Can I just resin the factory deck then use glass cloth to get the desired look.
I would glass it in a way that can be changed easily. Maybe use a sheet of 3/4 MDF as a base and go from there. I am not a fan of changing a vehicle in a way that cant be undone.

4th orders aren't easy they aren't for the novice if you don't want to put in the effort to make one that is worth it (sounds good) then I would just stick to a simple ported design the one sani did for you would be sick
Thats why I asked for opinions! I'm not willing to sacrifice quality for ease of construction. I just didnt know how the two would compare. Now I know and will stick with Sani's design. Thanks for the input.

ewwww
That is all
4th order, yes. subs facing up, no.
I looked for you in the chatroom to get your opinion but you werent there. I then turned to the masses lol

Yeah I would rather them face forward as well, however the max height of my bed is 16 inches FTL. Sanitarium designed one for me with the subs angled to fit, but thats a lot more work to build.
Here is the one Sanitarium designed for me. Just trying to make the build a little easier!

That did it, thanks guys!
Well? Can we see it?

So I'm still throwing around ideas for my 4th order blowthru enclosure. Just figured I would throw this picture up I did on Sketchup to see what you all think.
How would a design like this work(assuming the specs are correct).
-
File>Export>2Dfile
I think thats how it goes saves as jpg that way
Export it as a 2D graphic, problem solved.

That did it, thanks guys!

I think thats my problem. Sketchup files are .skp files

Im trying to upload a picture of an enclosure from Sketchup onto Photobucket but I keep getting an error during uploading. Is this possible? If so, what am I doing wrong??

Think about what your paying for the car now, what its gonna cost to get it where you want it, and what it will actually be worth when its done. If the numbers dont add up its not a good deal. Simple as that. Good luck with it though, If it was a year older or two years newer it would be a no brainer

1400 watts to a 1000 watt woofer? It can handle it. Box rise will knock that down.
^^True
-
alright well it will still be a little while till i go bigger. im going to finish the big 3 and ground my amp with 0 guage soon (gitting some wire from a friend) and that will help. then it will come time to jump one way ore the other. my only consern with the AQ is that 1400 rms wont be anuff power to move it alot.... idk
1400 is more than enough for the HD series to get loud. As a matter of fact I wouldnt run that much power to one, and yes I have owned them.
-
I may be wrong but I think the AQ HD line is better compared to the DC XL.
-
Where was the show?

Ben I need you to utilize your CNC machine and all your skills. I've got to have my own ninja barrel

Speaking of Simple Man, the Shinedown version of that song is the worst I've ever heard.(If there is a such thing as worse than Lynyrd Skynyrd). The other worst is Bad Company by 5 Finger Death Punch. Sorry had to rant.

Good looking truck. Heres mine that I'm in the process of building.

Aaron Lewis did Comfortably Numb when I saw him in Charleston, that was the best I've seen in person.
