  1. Adding gain overlap when setting amp gains is recomended by Rockford Fosgate they recomend a -10 db of overlap for subs and -5 db for fullrange.

My question is what are tha pros and cons of setting with overlap?

My question is what is gain overlap?

  2. its gonna be about 2cubic ft and about 5 to 6 mounting depth i wanna get pretty loud but i dont know if its going to be possible with the space, maybe 2k 3k?

Some shallow series woofers will let you use ported boxs, and take a good amount of power, if you build the box right you can easily get it "loud" I'm not talking big numbers or anything, but it will definatly bump better than any system best buy has ever put in....

I used to have a Pioneer Shallow series in a reg cab s10 in the smallest size box sealed and it was fine for me, but there was a certian point where once you turned it up so loud you weren't getting more bass.

  3. Look, I am a noob... and I'll tell you right now... I found out how to use a port calc the hard way... I fucked up using it...

No one gives a rats ass how many walls, how many t-lines how many 50 billionth order bandpass boxes you've built.... It doesn't mean shit unless you do it right.... Why the hell would you argue with the people that you're asking for advice from...

You keep on asking for advice from people saying slow down, they're going to start just giving you stuff that you won't know what to do with, you'll end up with toasted woofers, and alot of MDF in the back of a car....
