  1. nick you're a little more knowledgeable than the average bear too. I dont recommend anything but the rms rating so I dont have to hear some kid say you blew up my woofer by telling me it could take xxx more power.

i wasn't telling him to do it haha...i was just going against the nay sayers saying it CAN be done...

i added in the end that i wouldn't recommend it though

I didn't say it couldn't be done. Regardless the level 4 is what a 1000rms sub?

I'm running 2000+rms to a FI Q(old style) but it doesn't like it at all.

Still if somebody wants to run 3500rms they need a level 5.

Still if somebody wants to run 3500rms they need to have some experience to begin with, and they're going to need electrical upgrades.

  2. You could but a 3.5k onto a VR3 [wal-mart brand] 12 that cost 40 dollars and it would take it... Depending upon how loud you wanted it to be what you played on it, and some other stuff. How about you just give the sub slightly over what it's rated for or look around at what others say it handles instead of just posting here. Oh yeah, don't ask stuff like this when you're not going to buy any of it and you know it. In that case you definitely need to go look it up.

  3. I will use my iPod through USB over a CD any day, I can easily find quality MP3 or any other file format that iPod holds, which there happen to be very high quality file formats that apple has.

    Reasons...

My iPod is easier to find/organize the music I want, I can use my head unit, or my UI on my iPod.

With a CD I am limited to what I can fit on a CD how I can organize them and a lot of other stuff...

I am very strongly against 3.5mm male to male cords. Often called Auxiliary cords.
