Yeah, thanks bro! I got it to 5.85 cuft @ 33 hz with 18.3 inches of port per cube. Sound like it will do ok? If so im getting wood tommorrow.

if you box looks like this
...or something similar that doesnt include any of the side, top or bottom wall, then put "0" on common port walls
Nah, its a slot port like the first one you posted.

Trying my hand at designing a box for a Dayton Audio 18" woofer for my girls car. Its sub up, port up. But my question is, when doing a slot port at one end of the box, what do i put for the # of common port walls? If im thinking right, it would be 2 being that the port bends. Also it is 6.09 cuft @ 34 hz w/ 17.5 inches of port per cube. She wants it to go low, and so far that is the best port config. i have found. What do you guys think?

You know the spl competition was canceled right?

I have 2 Dayton Audio Classic series 18" Subwoofers up for sale. They are both single 4 ohm. Got them about 2 weeks ago planning on a home audio setup, but im just really needing the monies back right now. Neither of these have seen true power... all i did was rub a 9 volt across each subs terminal to make sure they work... both did! Would like to do 200 + 1/2 shipping. Or possibly a trade for a 2000+ RMS amplifier. LMK if you want any other info.
Specificaitons: • Power handling: 300 watts RMS/450 watts max • VCdia: 3" • Le: 2.96 mH • Impedance: 4 ohms • Re: 3.2 ohms • Frequency range: 22-500 Hz • Fs: 25 Hz • SPL: 94 dB 2.83V/1m, 91 dB 1W/1m • Vas: 9.90 cu. ft. • Qms: 5.64 • Qes: 0.51 • Qts: 0.47 • Xmax: 8.25 mm • Dimensions: Overall diameter: 18", Cutout diameter: 17", Depth: 6-7/8".

bad ass system! As far as Exo... he hasn't even posted on DFS more than a couple three times this year... Miss him on here... I think he went camera happy at SBN... LOL!
Thanks man! Yeah, i saw him everywhere... and everytime he had that camera out! lol
-
He was at one point... idk what happened.
-
Nah, the top is 2 layers of 3/4 MDF and its braced... I think it was just the camera doing that because the box doesnt flex at all...
-

Thanks man! Trying to brew up some vids but i kinda broke my flip cam... tryin to get a new one. But i got some things coming soon so keep your eye out for me.

Good shit man! We have the same subs, same truck, and very similar boxes. Only difference is I did one large port on the driver's side instead of 2 smaller ones. Mine came out to be about 7.5ish cubic feet tuned to 36 hertz, what are the specs on yours? On paper I have about somewhere between 2500-3000 watts on the pair and they don't even break a sweat.
Mine came out to 7.5 @ 34hz. I only have a aq1200D to the pair but im getting either a AQ3500 or the Crescendo BC5500... havnt made up my mind. I just threw the subs in for SBN and took them out when i got home... just saving for batteries and an amp now. They surprised the hell outta me though! What amp are you running?
-
I just threw my box subs and amps in the day before SBN so i could have some beat, and ended up meeting up with exo and gave him a quick little demo. They are WAY under powered on a lil 1200D but it still surprised him, i have already pulled it out now that im home so that i can put it in the right way on good power. Dude was a really cool guy though and i had a great time! -
Are you planning on wallin it?
-
dude... is your name Ryan Smith??
uh , Yeah ????
SO IS MINE!!! Crazy shit mang!!! lol sorry for the off topicness...

I was thinking of doing a thin layer of resin over the whole box, but im worried about it coming out rough.
-
Ahh ok, thanks!
**All edges of the box will be rounded over, will that need to be sealed as well?
-
What do you guys do to prep your boxes for primer and paint? I'm wanting to finish my box with SEM Med. Beige Color Coat to match my interior but i dont want the MDF to soak up all the paint/primer.
-
Where did you get it man? The one Cyberoptix has isnt available anymore...
-
SEXY! How many you plannin on running?
-
