What's it going to be tuned to?
Find songs ppl don't usually play...I recommend the song I posted earlier called When We Ride, its 34hz @ 22db also the other song I recently posted called Peacoat which is 37hz @ 20db
I'm new to all the car audio stuff, so Idk what It will be tuned to. Wouldnt a milli hit hard?

Ya if your looking at getting a 15 or two youll prolly need new speakers to match imo. Crutchfield.com and the outfit thing will tel you what can go in the factory speaker locations
Can I get by without them for a little bit if needed? The total for the amp,sub and head unit is like $700 max, $300 short of my limit, so I could probably get new speakers soon after

Ok, so I'll for sure go with your setup Basshead. I just need to figure out if a 15" Vented Sub box will fit. How can I calculate my trunk measurements?

Length: 40.5 in.
Depth (Back to front): 27 in.
Height: 20.in
For the Depth and Height they can gain a few inches that was just the tighter space if I moved the sub box (whichever I get) closer to the exit of the trunk it can gain more room, but lose depth and gain height.

If you're gonna go with 2 hdc3 12's you're gonna need a bigger amp. We won't know what will fit in your trunk without you giving us some max dimensions for your trunk. If you got anywhere from 3.75 -4.5 cubic ft. I would go with a hdc3 15. Recone means if you ever blow the sub you can order a recone for around $100 give or take a little and make the sub good as new.
Well, if 1 15" can hit as or more hard as 2 12"s then hell, I'll do that. I'll go measure the length, width, and depth of my trunk quick. Fix the links lol I wanna see the subs

Ok cool sounds good Basshead, thanks for your guys' help. I'll probably go with the Aq's then if the cone (whatever that is) can be replaced if something happens. But one thing: for the enclosure of the 2 Aq 12"s, would that fit in my trunk?

of course it will i mean have you checked out what other peeps running?i know a couple of kids at my school with two 12's in a sealed box both trunk cars and it hit pretty damn hard...flexing some body panels and trunk lid..trust me two decent 12's in a alright box would be good to go and when your ready to build your own better box you can upgrade.One thing I look at is electrical make sure you tell us what amp for the subs you trying to run too. http://www.audioque.com/aq/
That is a good company that you have people on this site stand behind and have a pretty nice value too if not better than most.Look at their amps and price.
In your honest opinion, what would hit harder, your setup with the kickers or Bassheads?

Yea man, I'm liking the Head Unit. Would it hit harder than Arnolds setup? Keep in mind, it will be in a small lil Ford Focus

noo dont buy the dual sub woofer brand they suck...... they blow easily
I'm talkin about a dual enclosure, for 2 subs. Not sayin the subs are gonna be the brand Dual. And someone on another forum told me to get 2 15" Fi BL's if they can fit, with a Power Acoustik BAMF4000/1D 4000W Amp. Does that make sense?
