I ordered a 4x90w AQ amp and come to find out i got an email today from Carrie and AQ saying they are out of them and they wont have anymore for a few months.
just my damn luck :clover:
anyways whats another good 4ch amp that will work good for my highs. I have 2 4x6's, 2 5 1/4's, 2 6/9's, and 2 tweeters?

1.2db's i went to a 149.9
thats awsome! good job
-
yes. here is some pics.
alright. how much of a difference did it make switiching from port to the drivers side vs. port straight back like in your avatar
-
those blazers like a sub up port to the driver side box better then sub up port back.
like your saying both subs up and for firing out the side?
-
would have gone with port down the middle as that would provide "free" bracing and box would be symmetrical internally, so less chance of loading issues.
that what i ended up doing and i went ahead and double layered the whole thing.

what exactly is renosant fz? please ne one?
anyone correct if i am wrong but from what i have heard it what your vehicle cabin peaks at. At that peak is where your vehicle is the loudest.

alright. thanks

I have 2 door 2002 chevy blazer. Does anyone know the resonant Fz?

Will work out a cutlist for you, cut sheet is up to you to figure out.
Top is 1.5 in thick. Port is 15.5 x 5. Box shoud be good as long as you brace it properly. I recommend 1" dowel rod.
thanks again for the plans

alright, ill try and get those done for ya by the weekend. I work 6a-230p so when i get off i usually am a lazy bastard, or got shit to do. Today was a bit of both. Had to do a lil cleanin, and just overall lazy. But ya, Should be able to get those to ya this week. Should be able to do it with one sheet of MDF too. Thats all mine took, and i fucked up and had to re cut pieces, and your port will be shorter.
alright man thanks again for your help. i really appreciate it.

Ya, i got dimmensions for it and a cut list, maybe even a cut sheet somewhere. 2x baffle, all you do is add another sheet of MDF on top, so itll make the box 3/4" taller than mine was. HIGHLY SUGGEST BRACING INTERNALLY 1" dowel rod works great. If you dont brace it, dont be surprised when screws break. Are you in any kinda hurry to get this built or no?
Shit, if youre in the chicago area and got like $40 the box is yours. It isnt the prettiest in person, but it got plenty loud. It wont fit in my trunk, and i dont have any other car to put it in. Its been collecting dust in my garage since Aug.
alright man sweet . THANK YOU SO MUCH!yeah a baffle isnt hard to do. i will deffinantly brace the inside. my subs are still breaking in but i would like to maybe get started on it this weekend if possible.
lol sorry man. i live in gonzales LA.

I failed, i messed up on the kerfs and said fuck it, ill make it work anyway, had a show to go to the next day. 4.8 cubes, 32 Hz, 60 in^2 of port area.
that box looks tight man. Do you have all the dimensions for it? Yeah i would rather it be 38hz for the type of music i play.
I would like a double baffle too and if its not a problem, could you make it without the kerf ports?
-
What amp you using? How many watts?
I have 1 AQ 2200 right now. in the future i will have 2 AQ 2200's
-
Got something somewhere i can make a few changes to to make the tuning work with an AQ. 37-38 is good. What kinda music do you like? They drop low with 38 but from what ive seen get nasty with low tuning.
I used to have a blazer so i got a few deisngs for those things floating around on my laptop and on the interwebz.
the type of music that i play mostly is rap. 38 sounds good to me. and thanks man. i really appriciate it.

I have a 2002 2 door chevy blazer. I just bought two bass a** subs and i need a box that they can really perform in. I want my this thing to be a groundpounder. I am sorta looking towards subs up and port back for my type of setup. My max external dimensions are 37.5" W x 24" D x 17" H. and i am looking for it to be tuned about 38-39hz.

I really need some help with some box recommendations for a single SA-8. I am build a single ported box for the 8 to go in the back of my 2002 2 door chevy blazer. Can anyone help with some plans, measurements, speaker and port orientation...etc.
Thanks,
Zach
