600 at 2 ohms are u thinking sealed or ported if u put 600 to it make the box a hair smaller so the sub dosent over exert. but type r s are animals ive seen guys put 600+ and they seem to love it. that amp will be plenty for it
-
its a 1042 running at 2 ohms and my amp is 400rms at 2ohms so slitly under the 5 but works well with the box lots of excursion
-
Thats a Nice setup ... hope somthing similar fits in my truck
im goin to the pulse spl comp at hoops on the 23rd then ill know how loud it is
-
Here u go man, its in a 02 f150 reg cab alpine type r 10, orion 1200w mono, 1.3cuft tuned to 35hz
-
Box sanded and paint, mount sanded paintin it tomm. The amp rack is set up with the wires coming in from the back and all hidden. I like how its turning out.
-
yeah i know what u mean about the port. i didnt think it would make that big of a diff. since its a small system. i think hes only got maybe 200rms to the type e. it still should sound good, he mainly listens to rock so he isnt gonna be blastin lows too much. well see how it sounds when i tune it.
-
Ok box built but needs a good sanding and paint. The bottom rack needs the same, all the wires will be tucked under a piece of mdf over the side. all in all it came out good took about 3 hrs to do wish i was on a bigger build.

Ok im redoin a box for a friend. Hes got a alpine type e 10, powered by a spl800 mono. Right now its in a seled box but he wants to get into some serious dbs. The problem is he dosent wanna pay for dbs :01nocomment8so: So im just gonna build a nice ported box 1.31cuft tuned to 34hz should sound good. So far i only got the port done waitin for him to bring me the truck.

is that liquid nails or wood glue? looks like liquid nails to me...if it is, use some titebond next time..but looks good...i would have moved the sub further from the port...but thats just me...aint gonna affect anything too much..
yep unfortinatly its nails (what i had around). and i got limited space in the truck and the sub is right behind the center console with only like 3 inches of clearance. i wanted it to be over a few more inches but it all worked out. the type r moves some air in that thing

Im startin another one for a friend, next one def gonna put 45s in the port cut down on noise.

Heres the box just after being sealed up

If i was to do it again, i would do 2 8" and have them facing up for the full effect of the subs
