  1. 1st I must say wow to all the comments, great feedback, ya'll make me feel MORE comfortable with a bigger system for sure. My concern comes from little people (kids) that will be riding with me, I don't want to jeopardize there safety just to have a big(ish) system. I don't want to roll over, or anything like that. I'm an old fart so I don't do the whole donut thing, but I'm on the freeway A LOT, and I wanted to know if the feel and handle of my van would be unchanged. Acceleration is not a big deal, and the brakes and rear weight issues are easily solvable. If you'd like tell me about your freeway experience. Is it basically the same? On a different note, I have been a long time member of CA.com (since 2005) and have loved cars with bass since I was 13, (waaaay back in the 70's:O). This place seems to have a mature, reasonable audience, who are not so prone to flame, and talk crap, I personally H A T E THAT. Also I appreciate all the budget systems here. It is nice to see the big name brand stuff, but I have yet to read a thread flaming someone who is doing a multisub setup on cheaper subs. I have only read help and encouragement. On my part as a member here, I promise to always search 1st, (here and on google) not participate in flames or crap talking. I'm not a spammer, and I'm not interested in high post counts. Thanks gentlemen, this site is MUCH appreciated.
  2. exactly...maybe I will just lay it down in the back versus a wall... (I've become paranoid in my old age I guess lol)
  3. this is VERY true, I was just imagining in my mind that with a wall it would make things in an suv/van/ect more top heavy... which would subject it to more dangerous forces. However if the people with walls responded here and they say they've had no issues with these types of setups in a daily driver, then I feel better... Braking and rear weight issues are easily solvable. I just don't want to take a turn off the freeway and end up in the lake ! (hell I CAN'T SWIM )
  4. so a poor mini van would NOT roll over or ride like a Sherman tank? I'm assuming those with walls bolt them to the floor? yes/no?
  5. hummm.... thanks for the reply, that's interesting, I wonder how would it effect a dodge caravan though? f150 is an awfully nice truck and very heavy duty, I can understand why you probably didn't have to do anything... I'm wondering if I'd tip over in a turn in my van though :/ *eek*
  6. Hello again, I've always wondered, when you have a large system in your car/van/suv (like a wall or something close to that nature) how does the vehicle handle? I would assume you need to make the obvious changes to the rear like springs/shocks ect, but what else from a safety standpoint do you change, if anything? How is your braking? Do you need better/different brakes? Are you afraid to take a sharp turn at a reasonable speed? I have contemplated a wall in a dodge van, but I've always been concerned with some of those things. I'd love to hear from those who have walls (or whatever) and can shed some light on this... thanks!
  7. all the comments about MA audio are appreciated. I'd like to hear more input from any1 with real experience with these subs. I want budget, (super budget) 15" but I don't want them to look like plastic toys. (you know like red, or orange, or some other god awful color.) Thanks every1
  8. I'm looking right now thanks for the link, I like the all black subs of the ma though :/ keeps it from looking so cheep But lots of nice prices for sure
  9. lol, I hope that's not the case, I mean I could always buy 1 and test it myself, but the mfg's spec are a starting point for me to model the sub in bbp 6
  10. Hello looking at this sub Tried to contact them here and here Is anyone on this site, a Mfg rep, or someone that can share info on this sub? I tried to email them from the site @ [email protected] and it bounced back to me. Any help is appreciated, thanks
