  1. The last thread got closed because of the shit storm that was brewing within it.

This thread WILL NOT turn into the same thing or some vacations are going to be handed out. Understood people?

    ok

but no they are fine now.. i wasnt even playing music on them for a long period anyways, and i kept it turned down most of the time when i was driving because some people cant handle the bass (not saying im loud, but they would probably die if i turned it up halfway with just two 12" on 500 w im not even joking)

but yeah im not playing this off, they arent fucked lol i could prove it if i wanted

  2. haha for the people that said karma, my subs are fine and so is my amp!!! hahaha still workin and hittin even tho my gain was 100%

i got it checked and my settings adjusted with oscope and its all good

i was just kinda mad that he did that but everythings ok and i wouldve replied to my thread but someone locked it for like no reason.

im just not gonna let everybody think my woofers got cooked cus they didnt.

    :D

  3. im so pissed off right now i go to check my gains after having the ultimate electronics guy adjust them.

he was the one telling me never go back to my previous installer and how my gain was too high blah blah blah

so he puts my gain too 100% max WTF!!! i dont think it messed anything up but that just pisses me the fuck off.

with that it sounded good for about 2 days then the volume started getting quieter and quieter on the subs.

    thats what made me check.

so i put it to 3/4 gain and 0% bass boost and +2 bass on my hu out of -6 to 6. it started to sound louder when i put my LPF to about 120 where he had it at 70.

so i take a quick drive to test it out and of course its nowhere near as loud as what he set it at (100% fucking gain) but i blow a fuse on one of decafs songs slo death in a hurse for some reason.

why am i blowing fuses on the amp again? it stopped when the guy put my gain up which makes no sense.

and is 0.5 (3/4 gain), 120 on my LPF, 0 bass boost, 15htz LSF, phase at 0 - do those settings sound ok to you? what adjustments would you make?

and i have no money and i dont live by anyone on these forums and i dont have an oscope or know how to do that so i just have to set them by what sounds best i guess.

please help what settings would you recommend?

500 watt kenwood class d mono amp

    two 12" d3 diamond subwoofers

    pioneer headunit

    memphis RCAS

thats about all i can list for my system since i didnt install everything else

  4. Hi,

at first my english arent so good, because Im a 14 years old boy from germany^^

    and now to the videos.

I founded this two videos yesterday at youtube and I want to know what you think about these videos.

why did you post these for no reason at all? and yes the music sucks if your gonna post a video atleast make it one where theres english in it and it actually sounds good.

  5. the "alarm" they are talking about might be that annoying honking that most cars do lol but mine has a key fob, i lock it with it but try to unlock it with the key it will go off, or if i lock it with the fob windows open and reach in and unlock it and open it will go off too. So that might be what they are talking about, just a thought.

you have to unlock it with a key theres no other way

  6. does the 1993 nissan altima have an alarm? it doesnt have power windows or anything so if it had an alarm it wouldnt have the lock/unlock doors on it..

but i saw somewhere that somebody said it has an alarm. when i got it the guy never gave me and alarm for it and ive been searching through google and just cannot find the answer.

and i have no idea if the car has ABS or not either..

so does anybody know of a way for me to find out on these, or just know off the top of their head from have owning the car before or something?

    thanks

  7. whats your bass boost and gain set to exactly? (or even a round about estimate would do.)

it was 0 bass boost and 3/4 gain but the guy who changed it said gain was way too high so im assuming he lowered it but im not sure what to. and i have no idea if he touched the bass boost. id have to go outside and check but im really sick right now so i cant do it right now, maybe later.

First off, what do you have for electrical? Power ground size? Big 3 done? Any upgraded/extra batteries? Also, you don't really need an alt. I only have big 3, power & ground cables in 0/1 and an extra battery and I can play full tilt and dip into low 13s sometimes high 12s on a heavy bass note and that's with an AQ 2200D. Another thing to do is recheck all your wiring, especially check your ground. Find a real good contact place, sand the crap out of that area then bolt it down. Lastly, once everything is checked, play that boosted cd you used to fuck dude's JL's with and test your system! LAWL.

Also, people are saying your amp is cutting, it's because it isn't getting enough "electrical" help.

i have no idea. no upgrades or anything that have happened since i got the car but an optima battery was in it and i dont think that its stock

oh and the guy at ultimate electronics about shit his pants when he saw my ground and started complaining about how the guy who set it up put my ground in a bad place ( its screwed onto a piece of metal at the top back in my trunk and he didnt sand it or anything) but he didnt move it so could that be a problem? i could try to get pics later of where its at.

the ground is the brown wire and i have no idea what size it is but maybe this picture can help determine the size?

  8. If i had to guess i would say it is the amp. The gains are probably set all kinds of fucked up.

We had the EXACT same setup.

When i had my 9104D with my diamond d3's it did the same thing on notes that were lower then my tuning.

Like it cuts out and then a few seconds later cuts back in.

After i got my sundown i didn't have that problem.

Likewise i would advise upgrading ALL electrical.(BIG 3, in the very least THICK ass 4 Gauge, and possibly a bigger battery. I dont know enough about your ride to tell you what exactly it could be.

well would you reccomend putting my frequency lower? im pretty sure its between 60-70 somewhere

and i cant upgrade that stuff so unless theres an easy cheap fix or something then im screwed on it. and it never used to do it until i lowered my frequency from 100+ to between 60-70 and lowered my gain from 3/4

but since somebody said it shouldnt have anything to do with that then i dont know. but yeah it happens when it hits very loud its like it loses power every time it hits loud

like on trunk bang it doesnt happen on the lowest notes it seems to get quieter after the note that goes boom boom in between the low notes if that makes sense

  9. doing the "big 3" adding more batteries and getting a high output alternator. what kind of amp is it and what kind of car do you have

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Kenwood+-+500W+Class+D+Mono+Amplifier+with+Variable+Crossover/8742603.p?id=1202648740280&skuId=8742603 this exact one. (i think its ok to post this?)

    and a 1993 nissan altima

did you wire your subs up? cause according to your sig you have a kenwood 500 watt class d amp. i dont think your electrical should be doping that low. and my kenwood amp could not run 1 ohm stable and sometimes @ 2 ohms it would cut off.

i didnt wire them but the guy who installed it said they were at 2ohms i believe...

  10. ill just be driving (what song ive noticed it most on is trunk bang by dorrough) and after about 20 secs of the bass hitting then i notice it gets about 50% quieter. then it just starts getting quieter from there and eventually it will just cut out if i dont turn my hu down.

once i turn my hu down it starts going back up again. i havent noticed this until recently, and all thats happened to my system recently is my frequency on my amp was lowered and so was my gain.

no fuses are blowing or anything so i dont know the problem. and someone mentioned voltage drop or something? but it wouldnt be voltage drop if i have my car on doing 40 down the road right? i dont know.

so after i leave my hu down for about 30 secs i can turn it back up to as loud as i had it but it will just start decreasing in volume again. i really dont understand it. it actually seems like it happens more often when driving but i havent noticed it when just sitting there with the car in neutral.

any1 that might know what this is?
