when i glass:1 plastic jar that has measurements on the side of it.i only mix 16 oz at a time.just me

2 i use disposable paint brushes no bigger than 2'wide

3 chop mat

4 sand area to be fiber glassed well(tooth 4 glass)

5 acetone to clean up hands after words

6 i dont use plastic gloves

7 i use bondo brand from walmart

8 only recommendation is dab jab poke brush,

dont try to paint resin it will just pull mat everywhere.make sure you saturate mat with resin

Ok this is something i want to try. im wanting to do 2 8in subs. i have a few options.

atomic custom sub for like $400

sound splinter i thin was like $400 as well

audio pulse is $245

DD is $175

RF is i think $85 p2

does any one have any opinions. the atomic and the sound splinter to me are to much. but the non custom atomic i beleive is $135

imo the brand of fiber glass does not make the greatest of difference. I prefer rage gold for the bondo. Get a lot of chop matt. Get a roller its way easier than a chip brush.

Ok so im about to buy a 1995 blazer 2 door not the extreme. and its got hellllla low miles on it soo the engine is in great shape but the back hatch wont open!!

has any body else had this problem?? and is it supper easy to fix or a PITA???

Has anyone used dealercostcaraudio.com? One of the kids I went to high school with wanted some subs. I was gonna wire it up and he ordered the subs in about Oct. 2009 if I remember correctly. The subs were back-ordered, then he finnaly canceled the order but hasn't gotten his money back or the subs. If anyone has a connection and can help him out PM me for the order #.

Use a dremel with a bolt cutting bit to sink a small slit in it. And as said, use a screw driver to turn it out.

If you torqued the shit out of it (which I'm guessing you did) then you might have to drill it out and retap it.

no the bolt wasnt even all the way in! it got a little tight but not to wear i need to hands!

they make a tool i think its called an easy out you dill a hole with a drill in reverse and then you flip the bit over and use the other side and it backs out the screw out or you can cut a lil slit in the top of the bolt and just big enuff for a flat head screw driver and use that

sooo i made a new set of terminal screws for my battery becuase i only had one! and when i was screwing it in it broke clean off!!!!! flush with the top of it soo i dont know how to get it out!!!!!!

To me the one in red i would imagine would sound better. But not as loud. That is with bigger sealed chambers. I like my lows, and from 43 Hz on down the yellow one has less output. But how will the system work with the car? That is the question, i have no idea where it will peak, and how this graph will end up sounding in my car.

Before anyone flips out on me... I am not talking down on the 1508 here just showing a comparison. The DD 1508 is still one of the higher power handling 8s on the market and is quite loud -- it is just not a high excursion driver.

what is the max RMS these will handle????
