Well if I were to sell/ trade this amp i would do it for like 2 amps of that power. This is just too massive to do something like a straight trade lol. I think though i will wire it to 4 ohms to break it in for like a week or so. then wire it down and see what im getting...

I'm not too worried about blowing it. I have seriously overpowered subs for a few years now so im used to doing that. I'm smart with how i play them and how long i romp on them for. Ok im understanding that much. I'm taking down my little notes off this haha. I love math btw i just don't know the equations thats it. once i see what goes where it looks like #s to me lol. So my real question after this is lets say on your amp then you do set it to that. 60 volts coming out when your doing the gain setting again. Lets say running the system on the 40hz tone like you did you set your amp to 60 volts now does that mean your only gonna see that 900watts??? and if so then why in the world would i want a 5-7krms amp lol i know i gotta be mixed up on something there..

Ok well not to ask you to straight up teach me everything here but this is making very good sense to me. If i have box rise of lets say 5ohms as you used. How could I set the gains with the dmm... I mean even if i found out the rise of the box with a clamp meter and all how could i set the gain closer to where i want it at 3k rms with the dmm... Sorry if this is annoying you but im learning a great deal here thank you sir

This is very very helpful man. Now my question is why would I use a dmm then if i couldnt account for the box rise... But besides that what your really saying is if i set my amp at likes say 55ish volts which by guess would be something like 3500-4k i would be pretty safe, because i would be seeing much less than that anyway. Then maybe after its broken in and i can find someone with an o-scope i can set it proper and account for everything?

Well all i have to set my gains with is a DMM.. I know i can match everything with the formula that i found offline somewhere... I had my old system set like that and it sounded great. But I feel I will NEED an O-scope for this one. My prob is i live in MO so i don't know anyone around here that has an O-scope lol. I mean i can do it by ear so i know it doesn't get overpowered via bottom out or anything like that.. but yea lol....

Well i want a few more people to chime in on this cause its tempting to do that. It's just is it stupid to do that is my question or is the sub good enough that after rise i might be able to get away with it... IDK

I have a DC xl 15'' d2 sub that is BNIB.. I have not gotten to play this badass sub and i wish i could do it. My problem is i have an addictive audio 500.1 amp... Now if i do hook this sub up at this point the only thing i can safely do is run it @ 4 ohms... I have the electrical to back it all up, I just don't really know what to do. Should i sell this badass sub and get a lvl 5.. Should i try something crazy and put the full amp to this sub... Should i get rid of the amp and go smaller??? IDk lol I'm mad i got into this situation.. but the price was right lol. I will have the box tuned @ 32hz with whatever setup i get. And only have about 3.5-4cubes to play with. What to do...

I need an alternator for my 2007 Scion tc. I have a limit of $400 on it. I am going to be powering 5k and a sundown 100.4 with it. I have a D3400 under the hood and 2 Decka group 31a's in the back. 2 runs of 0guage will be used and the big 3 of course. Well PM me with offers im really looking into DC Power and Mechman the most. Not opposed to anything though.

Yea that does make sense... but i mean i have the batteries to back it up. I ran a stock alt with 5 batteries on 6k with my last system... Never dropped below 12.0 volts. Burps id hit like 11.5 but i still wasn't stupid worried. I just don't know about spending that much on a damn alt.

Well i heard a few guys off this forum were making alts so i was just seeing if any of them would chime in. The alt prices I've been quoted on from mechman and DC are just outta my price range. I mean I would love to spend 500 on an alt but damn..
