see thats what im thinking on the lvl 4 xls.... but what about the aq's? i mean i love them and would love to go with them but 3k daily to each is pushing it. the lvl 5s are a bit outta my range, unless i sell the pair of RE MX's i have for 800 or so. if that happens ill get the lvl 5s lol and tear my damn car apart. I'm also thinking of doing about a 6cube box 3^ft per subs of course. It'll be a tight fit after displacement... But ima see if it can be done.

ive really been interested in DC audio. Ive talked to Rusty about the lvl 4xls. The lms ultras are some of the best subs around but i dont have an unlimited budget lol. Im looking to spend up to 1k for a pair of 12's. The trick is they gotta handle the good 6k im puttin to them.
RD ive looked at and yea ive heard the customer service is horrible, they arent a big enough company for me to really think about them. I am out of missouri so i dont have anyone around here with most of the brands on this forum. This forum is a huge help to me though lol.

see the problem with audioque is that they only have a 3'' voicecoil so idn if they really could take 3k each. Havent looked at RD audio, not considering fi...

So I have 2 12'' re audio mx subs.... they are being powered by 2 rockford fosgate t2500.1bds.... now in about a month im gonna get a 300amp alt so it will help out the power alot. my problem is i dont think these subs can handle this kind of power that well. They are taking it fairly well but its a daily driver, and im looking to get some better subs or at least some 12'' subs that can take a good 3k. which ones should i go for? Ive been looking into DC audio and T3 audio, but i dont wanna get the tsns subs. those are too heavy. The subs are going into a scion tc. Anyway give me some ideas im open to whatever.

ya bro you never wanna have your gain all the way up on any amp. itll drive the amp into the ground let alone your sub. turn up the subwoofer output on the headunit all the way then set your gain. but put your gain around half to 75% and youll be happy. that jl is a beast itll do fine till you get something bigger.

yeah.. Fi BTLs 12s are a little over $400 fully loaded IIRC and they are comparable to the lvl4s...with a lvl5 coil... IMO.
so $800 should cover it, maybe not shipping though.
alright but my question is with lets say 3.5cubic ft each and ported at around 35hz or so, what would be louder on the same power? the dc lvl4xls.... fi btls... or audioque hdc3 alums? again all 12''. all can handle the power im giving them but im wondering with that box size which will perform the best. my re mx 12's need a bigger box to be louder...

how many 12"s do you want to run? a pair of XL's would do great on that much power. if you want to use all of that 8cubes then go with four level 4's.
ill be going with 2 for sure. 4 is too much they are going in a scion tc bro lol

lots of people on here can tell you what DC subs will work with the power you have. if you tell us the power you have.
both those members are very active on here and im sure one will poke in and talk to you.
2 rf t2500.1s but i need some 12'' subs. i dont have more than like 8cubes at max.

ya i had a w7 in it at that time. this is for sure way the hell louder. i just want some subs that can handle more on the daily side of things. ill be up there again this year but i wanna have this new setup done then.

im outta indep actually, i compete and i have 2 re mx 12'' powered off 2 rf t2500.1bds and 2 kinetik 2400s 1 redtop optima and big 3. need to get me a 275amp alt from dc power though. still its pretty sick moves the roof of my scion tc a good 2-3'' steering wheel a good 1-1.5'' but im in the process of selling the subs. i wanna sell them both for 800 or trade em from some audioques or fi btls.

ok i have to re mx 12'' subs and right now they are in a box that was built in a hurry and does not have proper tuning or anything... the box is 7.2c^ft but we made the ports 28.5'' long 5'' wide 10'' tall. the subs are in the middle of the box with the ports on the outside corners. i was going for a 30hz box but im not sure if this is correct. please feel free to tell me how stupid i am and give me some new ideas. im new at this but i can build just about anything.

already took the back seats out the box is 7.3^ft 110'' port area... amprack where seats were bats under the amprack. i dont however have much if any room for more bats. i have a redtop under the hood to start it. i will run a 2nd 0gauge when i get the alt.

well the woofers have no problem on the dmm ive hooked them up to one already... ive actually done that part several times. im going to unhook it here soon then... ill take the advice that every advanced user on here is telling me which is im stupid lol. would a 300amp alt suffice? where could i get a good deal on one of those also? i dont wanna be spending like 500 on one i would really like to be more like 300. but Mario do you have any idea why one sub would be acting up but not the other?

well thats gay lol... my dealer has a t3 audio van its the red one on youtube that blows out the windshield. He is the one that said these bats should do the trick for now. I am planning on getting a new alt probably in about a month.

see thats what my dealer says he thinks one sub might be messed up but everything is brand new under warranty so im not super worried. im really wondering if one sub is out of phase would that possibly be the problem? if it is out of phase how could i check for that?
And no they are not synced...

ok so ill do the big 3 but 2 2400s isnt good enough? steve has 10 for 30,000.... i know 4 atls as well.... but its not like im going to just push them to their max all day... ive checked the ohm load to each amp and they both read 1.2... they are d2 subs... idn what else to try to see why its not playing right. both amps are on and the outputs move the same...

I see the point you both have. but a 6 cube box would let the aq's hold up to 6kws rms daily your pretty sure? i mean i will have the electrical then to give good clean wattage. right now im just running 2 hc2400's and a red top. gonna make it a 300amp alt a hc1400 under the hood, 2 hc2400s and ill see if i can fit more bats anywhere. If its possible then ima do it lol.
