I have been running Two XL 15"s off a American Bass VFL500.1. They each have about 3 cubes tuned to 35 hertz. They handle it just fine. I Love it.
My xl 15'' is on its way right now. I'm getting a large amp more than likely but it's not going to be ran full tilt. I'll throw no less than 3k to it though. Im wondering with the box tuned at 35 like that does it hit the lows in the 25-28hz range pretty well or what? Just trying to figure out where to tune mine.

I will think on that. I will still need a highs amp though and that is gonna be DC no matter what I can assure you that. It'll be power 2 sets of comps and a pair of 8s

Only amp I have right now is a shitty old Lightening Audio 400.2 thats running my front stage cause I sold everything but the subs already... -
ok so I have been looking around and I might end up with a IA 40.1 amp... I know thats a bit much power for 1 15''xl but i am good on the gains and all. What size box and tuning would be suggested off that kinda power? The box will have 45s and resin in it too.

Ok so this box by my calculations after doing the sub displacement and the 45 degree angles will be almost exactly 4.0cubes tuned @ 30hz. My question is with that size of a box on either a DC 2k or 3.5k would it be able to handle playing those 25hz notes
thanksSub is a 15'' just to make sure you saw lol. And the max dimensions will be 37x22x18 as far as the box goes. So if this isn't right then let me know bigger smaller

Well the speakers are as said about very nice tweets but you need something else for some midbass like a p1/p2 8'' sub... If your also referring to the T1/T2 subs then yea they love them damn lows
My 15'' t2's have a fs of something like 25 or so. My box was tuned to 36hz and they still slammed 28-30 range hard enough to flex my steering wheel like 1.5''I'm doing a new box tuned @ 30hz we will see how that is. But I say subs great speakers good. -

Decided to go with the 600-4 after talking it over with a few people here and seeing some of the feedback. Ill post pics of the build and vids when done

so after the dude saying that i would be underpowering the subs and all with the 400-4 your still recommending it? How bout this there is only a difference in about 100$ in what i'd have to pay for the 400 or 600.... I mean I'd rather save the money but if it would make a good bit of difference i dont mind spending it.

I had like 700lbs of equipment in a scion tc and it was fucking up the back end of the car.. I couldn't get around in fucking rain let alone snow and i was getting prolly 22mpg with that out im back up to about 30 lol... I'm down grading because sometime this fall or late summer im going to prolly sell the car and i can use all the amps and subs im getting in the new vehicle im going to get
that is when i get to play with the big boys!! But for now im just doing 1 t2-15 firing up port back or up idk yet with the t1500.1bdcp powering it instead of the 2500.1 cause the batteries i need to do that one properly. I wanna make this ride just sound great idc about SPL with this car now. I did 154.6 that's loud enough for me in a scion Next build ill try to do that around 32hz or so -
It won't. The amp will know what's being wired and will refuse any type of output signal.

I have the 6.5'' comps P1652-S and the 2011 P2D4-8 subs. If the 400-4 wont do it i can do the 600-4 just would like to do the 400 being cheaper and all

Im kinda on a budget here and i'm wondering if a t400-4 would power 2 sets of punch 6.5's and 2 8'' p2 subs.... I would be running the front channel bridged for the 2 sets of comps and the rear bridged for the 8s. I have a 3sixty.2 also so i can tune everything as i please. Im downgrading for now and im running a t1500.1bdcp on just 1 t2 15''... Please let me know the input as im wondering if it will power everything enough.

Ok thank you for the info and your correct the batts do only float at 12.4v.... And my 2400s both float at 12.8-9... I just thought the 16s were just older or something. Makes sense that they aren't using the whole batt.

Well thank you bassahaulic they seem to be working fine to me but... I think i would see an improvement anyway by what i've seen on here. I just dont know the real reason a xs is better than a kinetik supposedly. Plus 1 batt is lighter than the both of these so that'll help too haha.

and why would that be? being that its all a 12v system??? the 16v batts have 12v posts and charge fine... Im just wondering if it would be better than both of the 16s
