Make sure to tune to 35 no matter what anyone says. Your car isn't much different then mine and peaks very low. If you tune under 34 you won't be able to play anything but decaf music and enjoy it.
I have every decaf zip and im dissapointed my box is tuned so highh and his stuff is so low

That's another summer project is building the biggest possible box for a 15 that will fit in my trunk. I got a 3.5cuft box I built but its tune to to 50hz, way to high for a 15. Next box will be around 35hz get way better performance out of it

If I recall correctly, I believe the 3000 was a max rating at 1 ohm, but thought the pzi line was only stable at 2...
What voicecoil configuration is your sub OP?
Its a dvc 2ohm and I have it wired at 1ohm

It has nothing to do with that, even if the amp does rated, the stock alt will do just fine with a new battery upfront and a battery in the trunk.
But you also have to pay attention to the equipment. I do not see a full 3000 watts coming from that amp.
Yea that's why im lookin to replace amp as well its an older one and I know there are much better ones out there!

@teamht check out onlincecarstereo.com the new t2 run around 500$ but im not sure about prices on dc or dd subs.. but have heard good things from all 3 brands. @sticky i just gotta get a good reliable battery first Haha I've been jumped alot from my battery draining quickly :/ but a good alt is a future investment for sure

I wonder if an od pully on a stock alt will make any difference, I doubt it though. And id have to measure the battery tray, I was thinking about the same battery as you and if it fit up front I be quite happy haha

I got a power acosticks 15 and a crunch pzi 3000.1d amp but with open house cash im lookin at the new rockford t2 15 and not sure for an amp.. any suggestions?

If I do come up with the funds for a h/o alt. Mechman would be my first choice teamht. My only problem is im 18 still in highschool and work at kfc Haha.

Im relatively new to car audio and this forum helps me alot. So I've heard lots of good thing about both batteries just never had either. And I've done some browsing and its awfully hard to find a good h/o alternator for my car and engine type. Nobody really goes big with a 99 taurus haha.

hey all i have a 1999 taurus with a duralast battry up front thats in decent condition and was wondering whether to get a big capacity battery and put it in the trunk or to replace my duralst with a Kinetik up front and put old battery in the back. I got a new oem alternator running a crunch 3000.1d with 1/0 wire. your honest opinions would help!

i got a taurus and i have my port facing the back of my trunk and it seems louder. when i flipped it forward once it just seemed like it had a little less trunk rattle. but no real increase on sound

to my knolage it has to be how the headlight relay works
i take it u got 4 bulbs rather than 2?
actually i only have 2 bulbs

hey i got a 99 taurus and when my light selector thing is in the normal position the low beams only are on. when i flip it forward then the high beams only come on. okay here my question when i pull back on it then my hi beams and low beams come on, but it wont stay back i have to hold it. so is there any way that i can reverse the wiring to that so when i flip it forward my high beams and low beams come on and stay on? and if so how would i go about doing that?
