  1. @orionstang that would be awesome man it doesnt have to be on slant but thats how i saw this guy did it and it looked alright. I would rather not have a slant to the box so if you remember to ask that guy that would be awesome.
  2. Alright sorry ive made so many posts n shit im just a little frustrated and wanna get started on this thing. My exact dimensions are as follows. length- 45". Height 25". Width is 18" at the bottom and i was thinking like 14" at the top. Im down to have the sub however it has to be to fit but from other people posts it seems like the best way to do it is sub facing forward with a slant to the front piece.
  3. ye that was 33hz though with Re audio calculator. Im having troubles with this torres one can tell its put together alot better but a bit more confusing. Cant seem to get my numbers right
  4. Really having troubles with this torres speaker box calculator much harder then re but from what im told much better. Any help with a box desighn would be greatly appreciated
  5. because my last one was in general audio i didnt know there was a subwoofer enclosure thread
  6. Alright So ive just ordered my sub and now have to come up with a box. Ive always used Re Audio's box calculator has always worked good for the boxes ive made. Heres what Dimensions ive got to work with. I can make the box 47" long by 27" in height. As well as 18" depth. Ive seen on other posts of people that have put 18" in these little extended cabs and what seemed to be the only option is to have the bottom 18" and the top say 15" then have the sub facing the back of my seats with a slot port behind the passenger or something like that. Anyways using the box Calculator I came up with this. Box width- 47 " Box height- 25" box top depth- 15" box bottom depth- 18" wood thickness- 0.75 square port width- 5" square port length 1-10.75 square port length 2- 10" Tuned to 33hz wanting to be more like 30hz
  7. Ye i like the idea of having it on a slant. probally how ill have it. I dont see the woofer being able to go anywhere else
  8. sorry took so long. Alright so heres what i got to work with. 47" Length, 27" tall and 18"wide I would like to tune the box to 29hz. Im gonna see what I can come up with but would deffinately like to see if someone else has some suggestion with it
  9. im not here to argue and bitch over a fuckin computer if you have any suggestions please feel free to share them if not dont comment.
  10. where did i say i couldnt do it? not sure why you guys are all up tight. I simply asked if anyone had any suggestions for putting a single 18" in an extended cab and someone comes on and is asking why I cant make the box. Ive used this site for suggestions before without a problem
  11. I nevet said i could do it dip shit. Im asking for other people opinions because ive only ever made 1 box for an 18" and it was in a jeep not an extended cab.
  12. Ye ill have dimensions for tomorrow. To be honest I actually make boxes as a side job but have never attemtped an 18" in a little extended cab so not really sure where to start.
  13. Alright so im looking at upgrading from 2 12" pioneer premier's to a 18" AA mayhem. The only problem ive come across is how the hell am I gonna get this thing to fit. Im wanting to do a box at 29hz. my 12's were tuned to 34hz and my ears need a break so im thinking a bit lower. 20. First of all thanks for the tip. Second of all dont fuckin lecture me about not listing peak why the hell wouldnt i list what my system is capable of? I said what rms my amps run at I would be stupid not to list what the max power the system is capable and will put out. People now know the most power I will be putting out. therefor people can tell how much amps the alternator will need to be.
  21. Hey just bought a 2005 chevy colorado. My system is 2000rms with about 4000 watt peak. The alternator in this vehicle from what i understand is only 100 amps? My last vehicle had a 220 amp alt with a single yellow top and it kept my voltage at 14V constant. So what I need to know is has anyone put a big system into these vehicles what alternator did you buy and how much? just a little information is what I am looking for. Thanks for the help
