  1. steve, I know people always say "you should doo........" but I have a good idea. If you made a group buy for everyone in the forums, you could pump out a ton of these, at the same time discount for the pre-sales, that way all the people who support you get a good deal, you get support from us!!! I think if you can manage to push this into stores, you will be making some big bucks, cause no one really has anything like this that is at a good price, the only thing close is a real o-scope. This tool would be so valuable at work so we could set gains correctly! I am so excited, and the unit you showed in the video looks freaking awesome, not only in design, but color wise it looks really neat!!! This was worth the wait, for sure!!! Now how much is this beast?

Am insanely keen to get one of these as soon as i can, it looks to be an amazingly helpful tool!

Also im liking the above idea for mass making of them and SMD members get them cheaper :woot: :woot:

  2. So a few people i know, wanted a demo today but didn't have to much spare time on there hands, so we drove about a block or so (like 250m) away in the thought that we would be respectful of the neighbours.

put a song on mixed by Decaf, so of course it hit hard, got to about half volume and then an old lady shows up and tells us to turn that shit down because her house was shaking a block away.

then she made some comment about thinking it might be an earthquake coming, like what happened in chrischurch (yes im a New Zealander)[Not sure if some of you guys will have heard about the Earthquake or not]

anyway was rather interesting, but im more pleased with myself that sorry about the incident, because now i know my system can shake houses a fair distance away haha.

im sure you guys on her have had experiences like that.

Post any recent incidents you have had, or legendary old ones. would love to hear what other peoples experinces are like

  3. umm i think im looking at the right thing, its says (as of this moment) Alexa Traffic Rank = 100,869 for stevemeadedesigns.com

    EDIT: thats pretty damn impressive

DAMN i was almost going to break 100,000 and i just lost some traction LOL - oh well, still set personal record for the site :D

see what you mean with the lose of traction...dropped a few.

question:does the Alexa thing work on a day to day bases of through traffic?

  4. Yes and no. There are some exceptions, you probably know what/who I'm talking about... Mr. 10dB/year... (Just wait until he's 17!) but 99% of the time it's just kids dreaming out loud on the Internet, and it's a waste of people's time trying to help them with builds that are never going to happen.

That is true that most of the time, if your not going to do the ,so said "build" its a waste of peoples time trying to help you. but in some cases, the dude might learn something and be able to apply it to a build that he will actually go through with.

    thats just my opinion

  5. I currently have a 2 Cuft box excluding port area, which i cant remeber the volume of at the moment, and have managed a 140.3dB.

I'm slowly moving into the sound off scene, but want to keep my sub as a daily driver, so want to build a decent box that will enable me to produce the highest dB score possible for the equipment i am currently using.

at the competitions, the metre is on the windscreen on passengers side (I live in New Zealand so thats on the left hand side of the car).

I've heard that having the port on the right side of the box will help increase my dB, and firing the sub towards the rear of the car will also increase it.

    is this true?

my current set up fires the sub upwards, and the port is on the left hand side of the box facing the rear of the car.

any help you could give on box designs, placement of port/sub, (anything like that) will be great thanks
