  1. Yeah honestly who doesnt have a cell phone nowadays....

call ambulance or tell someone else to because you know they also have cell phone

look at your buddy and give him the you see that bangin bitch right beside you, look at one another in agreement that you should DEFINITELY get her in the car and do dirty things with her and share with your friend.

If you dont have a friend like that then you need some new fuckin friends sorry to say

    WOOT

    Agree with that

  2. Hmm.. Maybe wiring them to the speaker wire? Seems like That way they get power when the speaker gets power, which would make it blink to the music or whatever... Just a thought, I'm interested in this too :)

yeah i thought about doing that but then i thought that it would be getting all of the frequencies and maybe not the right amount of power or something

You would need led strips and this: http://www.streetglow.com/s.nl/c.460445/it.A/id.808/.f?sc=2&category=10

You can also get strips from them. Ive had the strips made for home use in my entertainment center for over 1.5 yrs, and love them

this streetglow module looks like a good way to go but from what it says its limited to the amount of lights it will be able to run

EDIT:....but then again you did just say they sell LED strips so maybe it could handle a few of those

  3. I know all of the subs have a decent sound quality aspect to them, but ive had a look on the Fi audio website, and the Fi.Q is said to be the best for sound quality.

the new plan is to get two 12" either BL or Q subs, although i had been looking and asking questions about the BTL.

I want to be able to have a fair amount of bass but keep sound quality (reason being i want to make a system set up that is Sq over SPL), so which would be best to go for?

also weight of the sub plays a big factor in which one i get in the end, as it needs to be shipped to NZ.

so if its possible to get figures on the weight of the subs ive mentioned that would be great

  4. Idk exactly why bass boost is not usually a good thing but i personally dont ever use it. If i was you i would turn the bass boost off and if you dont get the output you want from your subs then try and adjust your gain on the amp or even your hu. But i personally wouldnt go over 70-75% on the amp gain max.

alright, thanks. the gain is at about 70% at the moment on the amp

There actully are some times were bass boost is used. Like in t-line's...

It can also be used in music that has little bass, and useing just a little in bass lackin music is ok.

Plus its a great marketing thing. I mean what stupid teen doesnt like the words "bass boost"

thats true with teenagers liking the words "bass boost", hell im not denying i liked the sound of it when i first bought it

  5. alright i have read through a fair few different posts that state similar problems, but figured i would just ask in my own thread.

i get the sort of burning smell when my subs are hitting hard (cant think of how else to word that).

but the thing is it doesn't happen all the time, i can play a song one day and no smell, play it another day and i get the burning smell. on occasions a few seconds after the burning smell my amp goes into protection mode.

so i was wondering is this happening because i am clipping hard out?

or is it something to do with my electricals? (my electricals are still stock, no big 3, no battery upgrade as far as i know, and its only a little 70A alt)

also i have just read on another thread that pioneer head units can clip the signal at just over half volume.

is this true? and if so what are decent head units that don't clip so easily?

yes i know i could check all the clipping stuff with an o-scope but i haven't got the money to buy one at the moment

  6. CD changers help alot for this. I like CDs alot more too. Just easier to have a couple thousand songs on two usb flash drives tho.

that is true, having it on usb means you dont have to change through like 100cds

You shouldnt say you have your bass knob on full. Just and fyi, bad idea to say that

i'll remember that for the future, thank you kind sir :P haha

looks like ill be making the switch to a head unit with usb input sometime in the near future
