More Model 94 info, this says mine is '57.

Play with proofhouse.com and you can get am idea of how old the Winchester is using your serial numbers and the information on the barrel. It is a model 94, right?
my # 2224XXX
year 1956
The octagon barrel and the amount of curve in the butt plate have me curious about yours.

Me & my old man used to stand off our back porch & shoot. Just a 10-22, 870 & a few hand guns...nothing near AR status.

Just picked her up last night...

My cousin almost bought a .45-70 lever action when I got my 30-30 the other weekend.
The 30-30 looks OLD...I got my '56 a few weeks ago and it will leave a dent in your shoulder especially with that old metal butt plate. I wouldn't get rid of it if someone offered me double the price I paid.
Happy shooting.

This won't be a concealed weapon, mainly to get her something she likes to shoot. I was hoping for something small with an easy slide but a revolver seems the best way to go.
We were at Sportsman's the other day she pointed at a Ruger Bearcat she liked.

Been spending some money lately on guns & ammo. Made a purchase a few days ago and promised no more for a year...
So...its time to start buying her some guns.
I'm thinking a .380 or close to start;
Beretta Tomcat or Cheetah
Sig P232
You know what i'm looking for.

Can you explain the safety involved with the 2lb trigger job and the ground trigger bow?
-
Its hard to tell that the grips aren't solid black in the pictures. Almost looks like a little mud at first.
Awesome piece...

New setup is awesome!!! Shot great yesterday and as a bonus I still have all my fingers.

Got 500 rounds of 9mm on Saturday...bought 500 more on Sunday to shoot at the range.
Its is what it is.

Went to the range yesterday...

Proofhouse.com says it's made in '56.
Being a pre-64 gun it looks like it was hand made, machined, rather than stamped in a factory. After 64 they began to manufacture the gun more affordable due to rising costs.

Just picked up a Winchester model 94 30-30 from a show here in town. The guy said he had it since he was a kid and it is a pre 1964.
Whats the best way to check the facts about the age and style of gun?

This one aint for fun
Im going to a gun show this weekend and looking at getting a shot gun. Not for shooting trap though. Mossberg 590A1 6 shot. Call me crazy but that sounds like fun to me...

I got everything back together and it seems to work...almost
I need to shorten the trigger control tab a little more I think. (not shown in the video) This part is on the Ghost Rocket and makes it not just a drop in part that needs to be ground down little by little until it is the proper length. It doesn't do it all the time but every now & then the trigger seems to catch before releasing. Prob just another .01 of an inch & it will be time to hit the range!
Noticeable difference in the pull by the way

I have my top slide completely broken down. Not to clean in there...
What should I lubricate and what should I leave alone when putting things back together?
The book I'm using only says a drop on the barrel, slide/slide rails, and connector spur.

They have the AR-50 at a local range here. $21 for 3 shots. So worth the money. It knocks shit off shelves & scares women & little children.

They $900 range for the eclipse are both used, buy now is $1,025. New it jumps to 1200
The Eclipse is the one that made me think about clear grips...
re-finished my rifle, WOOT!!!!
in Guns and Ammo, etc. - guns, tasers, even lasers...all self defense weapons discussed here

The original design I saw you post with all the crazy skulls looked awesome.
What a shame.
