Hey Mikey been gone for a while final ohm is 1 genius lol anyway everythings good speakers arent smelling or smoking and I haven't changed a thing ??????????????? mystery unsolved lol. I had DD's before these DC's they played well scored well also but these DC to me I like the sound little better. Planning not to take out my box and put wall hehehe work in progess anyway enjoy ur day dude later

Yea I am from St. Croix it's in the Virgin Islands just 2 hour flight from miami. Thanks alot I scored a 151on term lab meter but really wanted to try push speaker harder I will be attending meca car show this weekend so just wanted to know why this was happening because I really pushed alot of power in this car and also the alternator I got from Ohio generator was the biggest they could have given me for my vehicle the 180 amp alternator

Yup, both on the headunit, and at the amp. Are you also FOR SURE that your friend used the oscope right, and you didn't just turn the gains up where it sounds good? What is the LPF at as well?

The Bass boost on the deck was at +1 and the max is 5

Well I wasn't there to witness it but he doing that for quite sometime now

And THERE is your problem. You are clipping the signal. No reason to have the bass boost turned up, and just about everyone will agree with me. So, all in all, you ARE clipping the signal.

Ok so your suggestion is to turn bass boost all the way down

Whats the highest score anyone got with these speakers on a official meter because I am catching my ass with these subs they play nice but they are smelling smokey real quikly as i play the stereo and voltage isnt problem current isnt problem power isnt proble I have 2 level 5 with 7 HC2400 I have (2) MTX TE4001D one each sub
