then do it right and you wont have that problem i understand abhout the alt.. i wouldnt trust even myself doing it lol id pay someone to do that. but man its easy.. really.. get power wire.. run it to the back.. (fused of course connected to positive on battery) and then thats your positive.. pop out your head unit and run a remote (tells amp to turn on and off) and run some rcas (sends signal to amp) then run those back.. finally find a good solid ground to put your amp too.. clean off any paint or anything then tie down a terminal and plug everything into your amp.. your done.. other then plugging in subs and tuning amp but thats easy

honostly yeah do the install yourself.. trust me, there is no better feeling then when you turn the key after running wires etc and you hear a growl coming from your trunk

guess we both need to write ipod on our list to santa
-
well right now im planning to get 2 sets of those infinitys.. for the rear deck and front doors, still undecided on the amp. looking to spend like 200 on the amp.. used or bnib idc.. ideas?
-
Not many man would consider a pair of tweeters and some coax 5x7's as a "banging front stage". But to help you out bro those Kapaa will get loud and scream at you. Not sure they will be able to take the constant blaring all day long they would have to do to keep up with the subs. Good Luck Man.
hm well what if i get a set in front doors and set in rear deck? i can try to retro fit the 6x9s in rear deck after i seal it off, im going to deaden the rear deck and i can try to find someway to mount them.. worth it? then i would need a bigger amp too
-
I would try mounting those JL tweets in the door instead of the center console.
i will, just couldnt because i needed the tweets hooked up asap and broke my collar bone so i had to do a quick fix im feeling a little better now so i will when im 100%

signal goes to crossover, crossover goes to mid,
crossover goes to high.
If the car has 4 stock speakers like mine did, you'd need 2 comp sets. 4 crossovers, 4 tweeters, 4 midbass
Hope this helped any.
damn well it came with 4 but im taking out the back 6x9s. not like theyd help any if im firing foward.. although i have seen people keep 6x9s in the deck.. should i do it?
-
well i just looked some up and the price difference is pretty big lol for a set of 40rms speakers its 139 ah im broke too so i might just not get a comp set lol http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9387_MB+Quart+RVF+268+-RVF268-.html
i mean for that much on that set id rather get a more power handling coax set..
-
well i already have my tweets up on the dash, so im not looking to drill more holes and hm kinda noob question but do i have to wire a comp set seperatly? or are they connected? because then i might just take out my jl tweets
-
thanks bro but i dont want a component set.. i was checking these out. like the price too, whatcha guys think?

well since i finally got my beat hooked up, now its time to make it more sq! so rigth now i have 2 jl zr tweets in my dash, and stock door speakers, it has 2 5x7s in the front doors, and 2 6x9s in rear deck, im going to fire foward and seal off now so im going to take out the rear deck speakers and just have a banging front stage. what are some good 5x7s? i want coaxils (spelling?) my tweets are 50rms each and i want some front door speakers that are 50-100rms becaue i plan to get a 50x4 amp or 100x4. so basically i want to know what are some good banging 5x7s? i want coaxils because i already have tweets in dash and dont feel like making more holes. hope to spend under 200 for a set.!

bro i have a pair of sa12s and couldnt be happpier.. heres some vids of how loud they get!
-
It picks up a lot of flex because it is like 100 fps, meaning it picks up EVERYTHING, but it makes shit look wavy.
it is a cheap camera tho, like 160 new iirc? not bad for a decent bass vid.. wavy stuff looks cool sometimes too!
still gonna buy one lol
-
That camera blows.
If your subs look like they are waves, that means your framerate sucks..
Nice vids.
not my camera, and it picks up flex good. so idk its not mine, way better then my pos camera right now for sure..
-
still debating wheiter or not i want to do 4 sa12s in my back seat on a false floor sealed from trunk, on a audiopipe 3k or 2 18s walled, im already used to this system FTL/FML i just hooked it up wednesday hahaha
-
Could you run 4 guage to the terminals on the sub or speaker wire?
anything is possible, but better trim the fuck out of it.. prob not worth it imo
-
is the amp at 1 ohm? .5? i have the same stuff sitting in my closet brand new just need to install
yeah 1, i have dual 4s. plus dont have no where near good enough elc to wire at .5
-

-
SA 12s FTMFW!
very true.. i cant belive they are the "entry" level of sundown... heres a vid doing a demo, hit harder then his dads 2 15s
-
