  1. i was thinking about picking up an alarm for cheap since 6th ave electronics is moving to another town from here, so all there shit is priced low, 250 or less for a 2 way + remote viper alarm, which is on the cheap side, but a majority of the shops income comes from alarms, hence thats the first thing they ask when hiring, and hence im going to school for it lol

if im not mistaken your car sucks to do. diode isolate on the door triggers if not using the dome light for door trigger and there might be soemthing else with resistors its been so long since ive done one. i hated chrysler vehicles though.

oh fun, i might just wait till i get a new car, i have the stock alarm but its not really that great, sigh, but idk why chrysler is ass fucking backwards with there shit, only easy thing they did in my jeep was the damn single panel i have to pop off to get to my h/u, other then that its all types of fucked up, like for example, if i open my back door as far as it can go, the interior lights shut off, but once i close it just a lil bit from fully open the interior lights click back on? fail, i refuse to even attempt putting in an alarm until i am cerified to do it lol, i have like dyslexia kinda, but just not messing up words really

  2. thinking of making a box out of ash, cherry, or some other type of hard wood...the box will be made by panels so will this be safe to do? for those who dont know what i mean by panel the box walls will be made up of multiple small boards glued together to form a one of the walls of the box. then the panel will edge jointed, cut to be square and then planed to desired thickness

as a cabinet maker of 12 years i am one of the very few here who are qualified to even think about your question.....

id say go for it. the enclosure will have a far superior resonance and tonal response than mdf, and be stronger as well, as long as you do your joints correctly. i am very interested in seeing what you come up with. for a stiff enclosure, hickory would be optimal. for tonal response, poplar is great.

    birtch does the trick too

DC FTMFW RUSTY I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABIES.

btw i like em nice clean and simple.

    reported for spam :peepwall:

  5. I would set it near 25hz then. Just be careful with the low lows lol. You don't want overexcursion, especially if the subs are overpowered.

It must've sucked to get stuck there lml

thing that sucks is i have no idea where to set it since it only shows 20hz and.....i cant remember off the top of my head the top # so i gotta wing it

and yeah it did suck lol, half it was plowed, then i figure oh shit ill just 4x4 that shit, yeah well the foot and a half we got last night decided to freeze and get me stuck >.> oh wellz

im also thinking i might be able to push a 150+ out of this now because of how high i had the SS set

  6. Considering you can get an accurate pocket o-scope on ebay for under $100, I would be willing to pay $50-$65 for this unitasker.

first of all where is a "pocket o-scope" for under $100? link please. :pardon:

second, this isnt just for clipping, it sniffs out distortion that most cheaper Oscopes cannot detect.

That being said, i am positive the price will be less then $100, but we dont know for sure yet exactly what it will be.

just let me know when I can order one sir.

x2 im with ric, hell ill even beta test it for you :)

  7. I'm surprised to see this thread by you. A SF won't cause clipping. It just blocks out frequencies lower than what its set to, and allows higher frequencies to play. Pretend its a highpass filter. It should be set about 5hz lower than box tuning.

yeah tell me about it lol, but id rather ask and get the right answer, it was round a lil over half and im tuned to 30 so im guessing i could still go down a bit more, i did go to test it more, but i ended up getting stuck in the damn parking lot lmfao
