nice box. what amps are you gonna be using
2 v2 4000 re's on the 18 an 1 v2 2000 re on each 15

this is 2 re audio sxx d2 15's and an sx 18 going in a 95 dodge ram 1500 ext cab. i will get some pic of the dorrs and amp rack up when i get a chance.

i have an re audio sx 18 d2 i am running a re audio 4000de v2 on it. rms on the sub is 1000 peak is 2000 my amp rms is 1500 and it seams like it not even pushing it hard. so i am just wondering what amp anyone who has this sub is driving it with.

my boy owns a shop,and he wanted to sale something his customers can afford. so we wanted to build something they could hear,but he rolls a 1961 bug.well this is going in the bug. this the planet audio bb212d and the 1900d from their BIG BANG top line. we will see when it's done.

i am glassing my door skins,i have never done this before. i have been working with fiber glass for a while but would still like some input from people who know . any tips would be great.

remember your final calculation ( cubic air space )will be the inside of the box( the measurements you get ) not the outside to outside distance cause you subtracted the thickness of the wood.

you have to subtract the thickness of the board you are building with( this includes the port cause your building it out of the same mdf) thats port L X W X H devided by 1728 of your port. that will be the volume of air inside your box that the port is taking up.your speaker will take up some too but the manufacturer
will give you thise numbers.( this part is not really that important unless your competeing for SPL or DB DRAG.

oh i forgot the option of sealed or ported box for your sub. the company will tell you if you can run it sealed and what air space to use with both.

and the port size is up to you,it depends on what frequency you want the box tuned to. now port tunning and the cross over frequency that you tune the sub to are two seperate things,so don't get that part mixed up. the first thing you want to know is how many cubic feet of air space both subs will require and how many cubes you have in your car or wherever the box is going.it's at this point you can decide how you want to build your box.

so far they love it still need to get the batts hooked up and all the 0 gauge ran to feed the power,but it sounds good.i have not really turned it up too much

yea so i just found out who SMD is, i have been into audio for a long time( got out for about 10 years) now i am back. this seemed like the place for me to post this. my rig is:
1995 dodge ram 1500 ext SLT
mods cold air,full roller motor 5" skyjacker susp lift 3" body sitting on 35-12.50 17( i am working on gettin 37 on 19)
audio mods: 2 power bastards 220 amp alts 1 xs 2700 2 xs 3100 custom dis blocks 2 15" sx RE AUDIO 1 18" sx RE AUDIO in a custom built box sprayed with line-x.each 15 is being pushed by a RE AUDIO 2000 DE V2 the 18 is being pushed by 1 RE AUDIO 4000DE V2 mids are 1 RE 3 WAY 6 BY IN EACH DOOR WITH 1" tweets being pushed by 1 RE 1600.4 v2 in the back are a set of RE 6.5 and 1" tweets pushed bay 1 RE 1600.4.
