i would just run 1 amp and wire the coils together in series. if they're duel 2's i would do that for each sub
thats what i was thinking to do it seems like the right choice. thank you for your help

i didnt read it all but ill say there is nothing wrong with it in my book but it could be better to run one amp per sub or one massive amp over all due to the fact if your running four amps and one shitts on you then that sub that its connected to will only be doing one coil ya know ?
you make a good point, it would be the first time ive ever used such big subs and stronger amps and ive seen so many ways to configure a setup that i want. im just confused on the best way to do it and that it sounds good too.

I GOT A QUESTION?? im going to get 2 "18" dual 2ohm fi subs, should i run a separate amp for each voice coil? the reason i ask is ive seen a build on here and the subs looked wired so that each coil had its own amp. so should i wire them in parallel or series each coil has its own amp or what im confused =/ thnx
