  1. The wife and I had an anniversary coming up and have been trying to think of something nice to do for the both of us. We have had saltwater aquariums for about four years now. always small ones and we had pretty much grown tired of them and what you could do with them. We decided for our anniversary we'd get a new tank. This is what we decided on

    its a 150gallon extra high.

You dont even want to know how much money we have wrapped up in aquarium stuff. the tank stand and canopy alone were around 1800 the dimensions of this thing are 48x24dx30h. I have to get my entire arm in the tank to reach the bottom.

Dude trust me I was looking at turning my 60gal fresh into salt, the light hood i wanted was gonna cost like 1200, and all the other equipment i was pricing was gonna be another 12--=1300, and that's not counting the live sand, live rocks, or fish, which would add another 500-600 for me. Salt reefs are expensive bitches

  2. Nope, no transformer. The box is an external dual rectifier assembly. It allows us to QUADRUPLE the diode capacity of the stock rectifier to handle the extra current. By mounting it remotely, is also takes all the heat produced by the diodes away from the windings of the alternator. Also, because it is fan-cooled, it has tons of air flow, regardless of engine speed. This means that the alt stays cool, no matter what the conditions.

OKay would you be able to make a unit like this for a 1998 Chevy Venture 3.4L V6. I need as big of an alt, that produces the most amperage, I'd like to get as close to of over 400A with one unit. Also can we get a picture of where the wire would attach that would go to the batteries

  3. ^^ this i am short on my tuition this year granted im not that well decorated with achievements as this kid but im not stupid and imo if you are a STUDENT and you apply for a STUDENT loan you should be accepted regardless of credit as long as you can verify that you are in school full time and sustain a min gpa of 2.0

What are you referring too...When I went to my school it was 30K my freshman year (room and board included), and 25K every other year (just tuition). The reason i stated all the info i did, is I was lucky to get 8k for scholarships a year, adn then with financial aid, i still had to pay almost 20K my freshman year. This kids is getting 1 mil, thats more then enough then to go to school and get two masters, adn be able to buy a house and cars, and buy a house adn car for his mom. I mean this seems like it was more, "we feel bad for you, now here shut up"

  4. sounds like it is well deserved.

I don't doubt him deserving the money, but I feel that this is way to much in excess, as by the time that he gets his bachelors degree, he will prob have a job, and that will pay for most of his Master's. I know my tuition would have cost 100-125K, and I went to one of the top engineering schools in the world. I have many friends that went for doctorates in medical fields, and they were under half a mil for everything. Seems to me that scholarship people are not investigating in who they are giving there money too. There may have been a student at his school with similar grades and lifestyle and got jack shit. I mean if i really wanted to comment on his speech...I have had friends and loved one killed in front of me, been held up at gun point, live in a city where WHITE is the MINORITY, and have been thru as much if not more then the kid in his speech.

I'm not hating on the kid or anything, congrats to him. I am hating on the people that issue scholarships, and how they should have investigated to see how much this kid was getting from other places. I know when I got my scholarships I had to say what all I was getting so they could see if I really needed the extra money. It irritates me that the one reason that there isn't more kids in college, is because of funding, where we have a kid here that is getting 1 mil to go to school for 4 years. That's enough to instruct 10 engineers, or close to 100 kids at any regular college, or up to 200 if not more at a community college. I think the true reason there isn't more kids in college is because of companies as frivolous as this not paying attention to what there doing with there money.

But of course if there were companies watching there finances we wouldn't be in such a horrible economic downturn that we are now.

  5. what glue would work best for keeping the rear view mirror from falling of i would like to know its getting really annoying lol fixed it like 3 times already a lil help here please and thanks :good:

Take it off. I just leave the little metal thing attached to the window and take my mirror of whenever. I loosened the screw enough to allow me to slide it off easily but also keep the mirror up if I choose to put it up
