  1. i read it but i got down to the video some one texted me and i totally got zoned out and forgot all about what i read lmao... but yeah PWNED i seen it again...

    anyway here is

BIG HOG BATTERY 916-613-7614 <thats the ones i own 75ah actually im thinking about selling mine if i do ill let em go for 80 each if you want and ill deliver for 25cents a mile :)

here is another number ive been meaning to call but never got around to it

    BATTERIES ALWAYS 209-466-0842

and there is also one more

i labled it as KIM BATTS-her name is kim i also never got around to calling it

    530-661-7200

if your luck is bad with those 3 companies let me know i got 3 batts for sale too...

a buddy of mine bought two big hog batts..havent asked him yet how good they are...will the batts u have be enough for my system? if so pics please..and throw me a deal ;)

  2. How many batteries you got?

right now only one yellowtop in the front..had a hc600 but that was before my new alt..

start with a big 3 so your batteries can draw more current, if you dont have extra batteries then look in to getting some, i see you live close to me i can refer you to a place with cheap C&D batteries if you want to pic some up it all depends on how many you buy for a better deal..

that would be cool if u could hook me up with some info on those batts..im definately looking for some in the back!

  3. alright as some might know i have a 18" solo w/ 4000wrms. big 3 and all that..just installed my 260 alt yesterday..volts are high but here is the thing... when normal low bass hits it sounds good and my volts are normal..but when this high bass hits (that doesnt seem to affect my sub ) it drops my volts below 10. i believe my box is tuned to 32 or 35 hrtz. for example listen to this song.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NevdQ4yjcM its e40 - back in business..the low bass hits great..then there is this high part in there and that is the one causing my volts to drop incredibly! is this due to tuning from box? or a setting i need to adjust on my amp or something? any info would help. thanks! other song i like that i cant really listen to due to this is too short - gangsters and strippers..hopefully i can get this solved with the help of someone on here :) thanks!

  4. I would just pay the money to get an idea of what numbers you are pulling off. Local shop around here charged me $25 and I did not even get to control my own H/U.

to pthrift, that is just a rule of thumb in the "science behind hair trick video" made by Ed. You can do a hair trick with hitting lower than that, but it's not hair getting blown up and moving erratically like we all like it to.

Off topic for a minute though, not trying to thread jack or anything, but pthrift. It says your location is VA, may I ask where in VA you are located? You can PM me if you would like so we do not thread jack the OP.

i woulda been mad if they didnt even let me control my own stereo!

but okay..i most likely will soon then. thanks

  5. realize that you're new; and tryin to help you out before you get flamed like there's no tomorrow.

no way to honestly tell db without putting the vehicle on a meter and testing.

lol my bad man..i knew someone was going to say that..i figure someone who had a 4k system with one 18 tuned to 35 hrtz would roughly get about..but yea, i was thinking about going to the local audio shop cuz they have a termlab (or something close) but they wants 20 bucks :/

  6. got 1 18" solo x. in a 3000gt. i dont know what specs my buddy had on the box..it pounds and you can feel a lot..i just know i can get some hairtricks out of this sub...my new alt comes tomorrow..so maybe if someone could send me specs on a good box that will fit in the back of my 3000gt that would be nice! like i said..i get air..my clothes move a little..and when i try a hairtrick there hair moves a tiny..but i want more :) if there is no tips or anything i might just have to settle until i can get a bigger suv :P thanks

  7. i clicked the iraggi link on this site..here is the one i want..good price?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/220-AMP-Alternator-91-92-93-94-95-Stealth-3000GT-3-0L_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem33560a6149QQitemZ220486852937QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

also my car is a dohc..is this going to be a pain in the ass? anyone have a layout or something online on how to replace the alt?

  8. 220 Amps means the alterator produces an average peak of 220 amperes of current, which at 14.4 volts is 3,168 watts of power.

If your volts dip, you lose power. If you dont run in the peak RPM range, you lose power. It doesnt matter though given that you will not be feeding your system 4000w RMS and driving for extended periods of time, so any time the system does require more than the alternator can give it will just take it from the battery (as long as the battery(ies) are ok).

thank you for your helpful info! i appreciate it! :D dont know how you knew it was 3/168 watts, but im sure i can figure it out eventually..obviously 220 amps puts that much watts..once again thank you!

  9. The highest recommended i have seen are DC, Iraggi, Mechman and excesive amperage. The cheapest quote i got for a 200a for my car was through Iraggi. But there are other companies that make them and are cheaper. Powerbastards.com was cheaper, but i asked around and no one i found really uses them... so its a gamble. Could be a good product at low price, could be trash.

yea, what re you going to decide to throw in yours? also if i went with another alt (which i will) how hard would it be dor keep my old one in there, and run dual?

    powerbastards - 220 amp = 299

    iraggi 220 = 439

hmm..i wonder why so cheapp...i wanna save some money, but i also want good product..it might just be worth the extra to save..
