  1. I was thinking the same thing as you guys when he was saying he would be chasing the guy down. Also, isn't the guy "Tex" that he mentions he loves at the end of the video, the one that shot himself in the leg doing a quick draw?

Yepp... Tex Grebner... Shot himself in the leg... The irony is that he made a video saying that a "dynamic stress virgin" would shoot themself in the leg... So he is a dynamic stress virgin I guess...

And back onto the original topic... I couldn't even finish this video... I'm 13, and even I could call out every safety mistake in this video... Seeing a loaded mag, without checking the chamber, and his finger on the trigger... Makes me wanna /facepalm.

  2. Probably banned for trying to scam someone. Mods must not be in the mood to warn. I'm on mobile right now, so I can't see pos countt, but I'm going to guess that he doesn't have the required post limit.

    What is the limit?

  3. yes the sound that sounds like bottoming out but it isnt.. something is ripped/broken or miss alighned

test the subs before you buy!

So if he plays em, and they're barely moving, and they sound like they're raddling, just walk away basically?

Also, what just happened to dolarbilz?

  4. watch that vid, you WILL hear it.. around the end last min or so..

Is the "Noise" that your talking about the thing that sounds like bottoming out or clipping?

If make you feel better have two brand new 9500 12 mtx can sell at list price if need to be.

Brand new as in still in the box, all taped up from factory, or opened but sat in a corner without boxes, or like new... used for a few hours, but didn't like. Also, how do I know it wouldn't be a scam?

Wait, I'm confused... He just got ban? ^^^

  5. my buddy got 2 for 400 or 500 ( cant remember exactly) one of them works fine the other is SUPER noisy

watch the WHOLE vid, gets awesome at the end!! i still havent had a chance to look over the sub well to see why its that noisy but it looks like the old owner dropped it so possibly shifted pole piece

Noisy? As in like it raddles like something's loose inside? I'm sortof a noob, so please explain.

  6. Does anyone know where the serial numbers are on these? So I could see if their filed down?

Also, would these sound good tuned to 32HZ? I mainly listen to Hip Hop / Rap, and some Rock.

  7. How would I know if they are stolen?

    By asking them.

    LMAO.

    Just playing. You wouldn't know.

Lol wow. I read the top and I was like... yeah right, they will totally tell me. Then I went down to reply and I read the end. So if I get em and theyre stolen, I could go to jail...

  8. Since I still didn't get an answer, I will ask this again...

We're talking in theory right now, just so everyone knows. I may not even use IB3's...

But let's say that I do use IB3's... They mount 9.5 inches deep, so I would make the wall 1 foot deep. The wall is over 10 feet long, and 10 feet tall... That means I COULD have like 100 cubic feet of box space. I am pretty sure that would be enough for 2 Fi IB3 18's, correct?

Also, the subs would be behind the viewers. So would it be better to have the subs:

Low, where they would be blocked by the couch?

Medium hight, where they would be aimed at about the back of your head?

High, where they would be almost touching the celing?

  9. IB subs would need a MASSIVE 'box' to get a simple infinite baffle setup. I would suggest maybe knocking that wall down and putting up 2x4s to use as studs to mount the subs to through the drywall for example. Probably a ton of options to mount them in there.

  10. The only thing I got from this thread is you overreact constantly and are jumping to conclusions on many things far too fast. Like the fact you are set on FI Qs when there are better out there and people are trying to just make suggestions. That being said, if your minds set, its set, and thats your choice anyways. That being said, the 'bigger subs get lower easier' is far from the truth. The only reason that has any basis is because an 18" has far more cone area than a 10".

As for infinite baffle...the only thing you need to do is separate the front waves from the back waves of the sub...meaning you mount them into the wall for example. That separates the sound waves and theres no need for any kind of 'box'.

Well, I need to make some sort of box because I don't want the pressure waves to make the drywall crack... So how big of an enclosure should I make in the wall?

  11. You guys seriously think the infinite baffles would be better than the q's? I mean I can techincally bust out the back wall, and extend it out, which would give me over 100ft^3 of space for a in wall box... But is that really worth it? Because to do that I would have to reposition the wiring if there is any in the way. I would also have to somehow move the support beams. So do you guys think it would be worth that, or should I put 2 Fi Q's in a box, which I know I can do?

  12. Its not about the subs, half the sound is the box!

Do you really want a 6 cubic foot box for 1 18 + 3 cubic feet for port and everything...... that's a big box man with 2 12s ur looking at half that size and they will be just as loud and hit just as low......

Well... Actually I kinda do want a huge box... I mean it's the scare factor of the 18's... When guests come over, it would be fun to see then go "What... the fuck... is that?!"

  13. IB3's would work too, but you would need to cut into the wall, since you have to seperate the front of the woofer from the back, and the only other way to make em work like that with a box is to have a huuuuuge box.

Well we actually are going to have to knock out the drywall to better sound insulate the walls anyways, so it would be possible to use the wall... But how "infinite" is an "infinite baffle"?

  14. Damn this thread is harsh!

I got 2 jbl p1222s that I put on a saz 1500 but I've had them each on 150 wats a peice prolly less off an old alpine amp and they were fine, as long as you can properly charge ur 12volt bats in. Ur house I see no problem with it..... if you have a house amp then I see no problem in underpowering, I would try to make the box big if you can...(thus making it more efficent mines about 30% larger than spec cuz thoes particular subs are underrated..... and do 1 18 not 2 I have my 2 12s turned down and were a house full of young guys wit no neibors

Take it easy on the 12 year old fags maybe its a project for him and his dad to work on

And reall all u fruitloops brought out the grandmaw thing.... that's the kinda shit makes the internet GAY!

See, this guy gets me. The main reason for the 18's is because I've heard and experienced that bugger cones can get lower better. I'm not getting an 18 to be loud, im getting it to get low for gunshots, thunder, all that low bass stuff in movies. And yes, they are going to be powered by 2 Behringer NU1000DSP's, one for each sub.

I am 13, but still, does it make you guys feel tough to bash on a teenager? Honestly?

And I agree, how the fuck were grandparents even related, and you have to bring up memories of when I witnessed my grandfather slip on ice and break a hip, which later killed him. So thanks for bringing up horrible memories!

So I totally agree with CortezDTV

  15. and fyi, basically everyones grandparents are dead, thats life and you deal with it, you dont flame over the internet,

I know that, but I'm 13, and he has to make fun of me and my DEAD grandparents. So it fucking pisses me off that he has to be faggot and judge by age, because I know more than some of the members here... No shit, im not a "expert" by any means, but I have helped and answered questions on here that other couldn't... So don't fucking call me an idiot.

your not going to get any help acting immature which is what you displayed in your last few posts.calling people "faggots" and saying "fucking" every 5 words isnt going to get you any help. if you would act mature and open to others ideas who are a lot more experienced (generally), you could save time and frustration.

The problem is that we (me and my family) have already agreed on the Fi Q's... We are gonna use em at 750-1000 watts most of the time, but sometimes we might not want our neighbors listening to a movie with us... So I'm wondering if the subs would still sound good when we turned down the volume?

  17. Why not get a Subwoofer designed mainly for Home Theater Use, this is less than half the price of the Q and has great reviews, also is rated for 300rms so will work great with the power you have

    http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-475

Because the sub you posted is a joke... Look at the magnet, and the cone is made from paper... So is the FI, but the FI is treated...

I hate how instead of answering my question people try to change my mind for me...

Size isn't everything, I am will to bet on the 300rms you plan on using the sub I posted will get lower and louder than the Fi, Why would you buy something that you never plan on powering properly. if you want to spend extra and not get the potential out of the sub be my guest, and about the paper cone, why does that matter from what I deducted from you post this isn't a patio system.

Edit: So after reading you post history I see you are 12, I suppose you are also that pro box builder that was on here as well, either way it's gonna quite a few years worth of grandma's christmas checks before you get one sub, so post back then

Dude, please don't be a faggot. Honestly, why do people play the age card. It just makes you look like a little fuck. And just so you know, both my grandma's are fucking dead! Happy?!

My parents came to me and asked me to build a home theater system for the movie room in the new house... So fuck off, and don't be a faggot who uses the age card...
