  1. If you're using 1 4 channel amp then use the front rcas and the sub rcas for now. Leave rear sp set to full.

So you have 4 6.5" running in pairs at 2 ohms on 2 channels and the other 2 channels bridged to subs? What kind of subs? What ohm load?

Your deck should be ok unless you're really unlucky.

im running seleniums and there 8ohms so i gotta run 2 on a channel and 2 on the other channel bridged i think there running at 4 ohms the seleniums i gotta different amp for the subs its a mmats 1400.2 and the subs are RE audio SEX 15inch dual 2 ohms but on the highs amp its bridged and its for channels and the way it shows to bridge the amp says theres 2 front channels and 2 rear channels and i have to use both front and rear to bridge the amp I KEEP MY SUBS ON THE S/W RCA OUTPUT CORRECT??? THANKS FOR THE HELP

  2. i have a pioneer DEH-P7700MP cd receiver and im hooking up a 4 channel highs amp and im confused on the rear output settings non-fading output, subwoofer output i got my subs hooked up on the S/W output and i have 2 other outputs a front and rear output but when i get into the settings of the deck shows like (REAR SP:FULL) (REAR SP:S/W)???? IM LOST WITH THIS DOES THIS EFFECT MY HIGHS OR JUST MY SUBS??? INFO PLEASE

ALSO THE DECK HAS 3 OUTPUTS IN THE BACK REAR OUTPUT, FRONT OUTPUT, AND S/W OUTPUT I GOT MY SUBS ON THE S/W DO I HAVE TO RUN 2 OTHER SETS OF RCAS FOR THE FRONT AND REAR AND HOOK THEM UP TO MY AMP?? THE AMP HAS INPUTS FOR FRONT AND REAR THANKS FOR THE HELP

also my highs amp is a Memphis audio 16-SC4.55 and i have 4 selenium 6.5s and have them 2 on a channel and 2 on another channel and so the amp was bridged it played fine but i noticed if the deck volume is like at 1 or 2 or so really low it makes a buzzy fuzzy wave sounds and i turn the volume up to like 10 or 12 it goes away and i turn it back down to 1 or 2 and its completely clear now when i got my subs i hooked them all up and turned the car on worked perfectly shut it off and turned it on run DIDNT START THE CAR and the highs went crazy my highs speakers went back in fourth and the highs amp went on protect and then the fuses blew i replaced the fuses and hooked the battery back up and i heard them pop with the car off so i think the amp is bad it was a refurbished amp from audio savings .com i sent it back and im waiting on my replacement also i unhooked the rcas while the deck was still on thinking it was them and hooked them back up and it kinda arced to the rca on the amp would this of messed up my deck please help thanks

  4. oh. I assumed the .2 meant 2 channel sorry. I makes no difference what speaker connections you use then. They are the same (well both + are the same and both - are the same). Wire your coils in a series and then hook each sub to one of the terminals (as if it were a 2 channel.)

so im good then?? PLEASE TELL ME YES CUZ A FEW SHOPS TOLD ME ITS OK TO RUN IT THIS WAY I JUST WANNA MAKE SURE I BLEW ALOT OF MONEY ALREADY AND TO FAIL NOW WOULD SUCK THANKS FOR ALL UR HELP REALLY APPRECIATE IT

  5. You don't want to bridge the amp with those speakers because the ohm load with either be too high (not getting enough power) or too low (damaging the amp). As far as damaging something, there is no different danger with that amp than any other amp that is bridgeable. Anything that can happen to that amp (or speakers) while bridged can happen to any other amp/speakers. Running the amp stereo has the same ohm problems as bridged, you are either underpowering your subs or overworking your amp. Run one sub or get a new amp.

so what will happen if i got them hooked up now how i said? i really dont wanna get another amp that amp i got is hard to find and running 1 sub is not possible for my trunk set-up how it is now

  6. i have a DHC1400.2 the old style mmats amp and i just bought (2) new RE AUDIO SEX 15inch subs that are dual 2 ohm i was told to run them like this and shows in the re audio book i got to run them in series - to + and a - out and a + out but in the diagram it shows 1 positive out and 1 negative out for both speakers and my amp is a 2 channel i think it has hook ups for + - + - PLEASE HELP THANKS
