They wont vibrate to much and mess up the amps being on the box? I heard this before thats why I was trying not to put them on top. I did think of it though for cooling. Maybe I can make some kind of floating rack over the box

Maybe im making this harder than it is but wiring anything other than subs confuses me. First can the front 2 channels run @ 4ohms and the rear 2 channels run @ 2ohms or do they all have to run one or the other? Reason why is I want to run 4 comp sets or coaxials off each front channel which would give me 4 ohm load series/parallel right? Are they like SVC 4ohm woofers? And then the rear I was gonna do 2 6x9s per channel parallel to get a 2ohm load. Is this right or am I wrong?

Ok from where I want to start the box to give me room for the amps under it is around 25 inches. So the box you suggested was 26" high so that will be good

I got a 92 so I got 2 flip out back seats really. 1 is already out because I had my extra battery in its spot b4 and I wanted to use it to put my 2 extra batteries in that spot again. Either way I think I got enough airspace I just can't figure out the port. Thats what I need help with.

Trying to figure out my box for the 2 XL15s I want to put in my S10 and I can't get the port tuned to what I want but still have enough sqin of port. Its going in my extended cab and from wall to wall I have 48" from roof to floor I have 36" and from seats to rear I have 16". I don't want a wall so im trying not to use all 36". I wanted to do the box like the pic in my other thread I made yesterday. Subs forward and port up with the port along the rear window on the back of the box. I was trying to tune it somewhere bebetween 30Hz and 37Hz. Im gonna have the DC 5k on them if that matters. Someone please help me!

I think thats what ill do with the 2 XL15s! Now I need to measure and see how my box will be. Then I can get this build under way!

I was thinking of subs forward port up to maybe give me a lil more room but how would the port be done? I was gonna have it on the drivers side and I was leaning more towards 2 12XLs now for more space with subs and port up. But if subs forward and port up will work I might change my mind back to 15s lol. Can the port be in the middle up and a sub on each side? I just like symmetry

Im want to get one of those things that steve did a video with that shows when you have a clipped signal but until then i think the DC amps use the same bass knob like my AQ2200 that have the clipping light on it. So until then that will have to do

Another question about the yellow tops. Can you get around 14.4v with them or do they not charge that high? I just read the 6 page thread about yellow tops and didn't see anything about that. All I saw was everyone saying where they sat with the car off.

good equipment, but with that(which i have 1990 s-10 ext cab) vehicle there is not enough airspace to reach maximum potential! you would be better off doing 12's atleast- or you could do a blow through and have the box in the bed! but from experience if your keeping it in the cab i would only do one 15 or two twelves, eather way you will be hugging the steering wheel! Yeah mine is a 92 and I wanted to do a wall of 4 15s or 2 18s and after seeing how numatik drives I was like I need more room lol thats why I was thinking just 2 15s below the window but I was thinking maybe 2 XL12s instead. I wanna do hair tricks and my goal in life is to be in the 150db club lol. So sacrifices must be made somewhere. I wanna bag it too so no blow through cause ill be cutting up the bed and putting tanks and fuel cell in the little room left.

That^^^^^^^ With rise you probably arent gonna get the full 5k all the time anyway, so overpowering them will give you a better chance of feeding them there Rated RMS. Yeah thats what I was thinking. So with a 5k and I want to get the DC 4ch amp too so what would be good for the electrical? I might go with yellowtops they are a little cheaper then XS and Kinetik but how do they match up? Are they good or crap?

Brainstorming my system for my S10 and I wanna do 2 15s below the window, subs up/port up, want to know which setup would be better. Either 2 level 5 15s on the DC 5k or 2 XL 15s on the DC 3.5k. What I want to know is will the 5k be enough for 2 level 5s because everyone says how they can take so much power. Or could the XLs run on the 5k or is that too much? And I want to get a 270 amp alt, XS D1200 or D2400 under the hood (whichever will fit) and 1 or 2 D3400 in the back. Is that enough electrical or too much for either setup? Of course big 3 and 2 runs of 1/0 to the back

you cant read it but its a ticket i just got for my "loud bass" (thanks a lot DC) lol. yeah so out of nowhere this ninja like cop came out and pulled me over on the corner of my street and said he tryed to tell me to turn my radio down twice but i didnt hear because of my loud stereo...oops. but i mean at read lights i at least turn my bass down so im not that asshole and then when i take off i turn it up again and the songs i had on didnt really have a lot of bass anyway and i didnt have it turned way up. O well its geting taken care of as i type this but i still think its funny. Basshead 4 Life!!

I don't need my HU alts and batts by DC just speakers subs and amps would be nice. And hopefully they do get them going and maybe ill be ready to buy all the stuff for my S10 and ill get ALL DC! Lol
