If the AP3000 wont be enought for the 2 15s with 3cuft each then ill just keep my 1 15 and get the AP1800. But over powering it a little should I make the box right at the 3.5cuft suggested or go a little bigger or a little smaller?
Maybe, but will it be a good solution?
Probably not.
With enough power, it'll be fine. My 2 xl's are in a 6 cube box on 3k each.
Will the one AP3000.1 be enough or will I need more?
Lmao! I don't know what to do im so confused and my head is starting to hurt trying to figure out how to make 2 XL 15s fit in there
Just don't.
Try one 15 or two twelves.
Or wall it off and buy two 18's.
Well I got 1 XL 15 in there now I just wanted more. I think it can work but ill have to put the box in through the backseat. Box: 46" (W) x 15.5" (H) x 22" (D) and Port: 14" (H) x 7" (W) x 17.93" (L)=37Hz
So with aeros in a trunk which way should I point it or them? And have one or mort ports? I always did slot ports so I don't know much about aeros and then just measure the box as if it were sealed or would I count the port too?
It was 6.42cuft but thats before displacements
Was gonna do a slot pot but im open to suggestions. I want 150db lol. Next time there is a crank it up around here I wanna do trunk 1001-up and I need at least a 143.7db to get a 3rd place state record and I just did a 140.0db with 1 15 on 1000 watts so im thinking it within reach
Not what I was suggesting but you can do that.
It'll be fine.
Each channel is a 1500D. So 2Ω per hcannel = 4Ω Bridged.
Lol. This wiring stuff confuses me...I guess im kinda a noob when it comes to that part. I use these websites with the wiring tutorials lol. So I have a dual ohm sub they say 1ohm or 4ohm. And the only specs on this amp are 1ohm (2ch) and 2ohm (1ch) so if I run 1 voice coil to each ch it will be like running 2 single voice coil 2ohm subs?
I want to put another XL 15 in my trunk but the most air space I can figure up and still get the box into the trunk would be like a little over 6cuft total for the subs to share so around 3cuft each. The website suggests 3.5cuft so will this hurt the sub or affect performance? I want to put the audiopipe AP3k on them
Right now I have 1 DC XL 15" and I want to get another one but for the time being I was gonna get the AP3k and put it on my sub but its a dual 2ohm so I was gonna run it @ 4ohms. Does anyone know how much it will put out @ 4ohms? If its 3000 @ 2ohms will it be around 1500 @ 4ohms
I was thinking the new cea certified hifonics 2400 or maybe even the audioque 2200 but a guy I know has a shop and they sell audiopipe and they have a 2500 I could prob get a good deal but I don't know much about them. The thing is I have a 92 extended cab S10 and I wanna put 4 level 4 18s or 15s if the 18s wont make it so whatever amp I get now will move to the S10 to power 2 of whatever 4 subs I get then I will get another amp for the other 2 and ill put the 1000/1 back in the impala for the wife
Went to a crank it up last night and took 3rd with a 139.2db legal on the dash. Also ran outlaw and got a 140.0db. Now its time for a new box and a bigger amp then im gonna shoot for the state record in the trunk 1001-up class
sorry i didnt read the rules lol i didnt know you werent supposed to post this maybe that rule was made since i last been on the site but anyway i just wanted peoples inputs to which one actually puts out the wattage it says or if anyone had good or bad experiences with either amp before i waste my money.
Looking at the rubicon 2500 or the brutus 2400. Wanted to know which one would be better? I would love to have the RF 2500CP or something but I don't have $1000 to drop on an amp right now so im looking for a decent amp at a cheaper price. Its gonna be pushing my DC XL15 at 1 ohm.
