for the 600 price i think the cresendo is the only one in that range that will give you the power range your looking for.
Dont know DC pricing but i doubt its under 600.
right right im looking into cresendo or two hifonics amps (2100.1)
-
not trying to sound like a dick but youll need alot more than just 600 to get a good amp with that rms. unless your swinging the crecendo.
yea either the crecendo amp or two hifoincs brz 2100.1
-
Or 2 of those
your right i forgot about hifonics appreciate it
-
dc 3.5k
the crecendos are pretty beast
and the aq 3500
how much is those dc 3.5k amps?

Whats your reasonable price? Better have a big budget for a decent sized amp.
just cant spend more than $600 if im going to go with one big amp for the subs
-
i have two 15" fi btl n2's, just wanted to run 1 big amp for both of them. looking for a amp that does 3200-4000 rms @1ohm... i was looking into cresendo amps, but wanted to know if it was some other good brands out there for an reasonable price thanks!!!

Looks like the Group 34 they make (bt8785dt) is made for under the hood. But I'd go with the BT60. It has more amp hours, higher cranking amps, and it's lighter and cheaper. I don't know if you need battery posts, but the BT878 comes with the posts while you'd have to purchase them separately for the BT60.
ok appreciate it i had emailed shuriken they said the bt8785dt is more suitable for under the hood but the bt60 seems better to me

Get the biggest/ best alt you can afford. I am going with DC because of my budget and they have tons of different types for my truck. Don't forget about extra batts though. All the alt power in the world isn't worth a lick if you don't have the reserve battery power to back it up on those extra low high draw notes. I am getting I think a 240 or 260 amp alt and running one extra battery and upgrading the under hood battery. Along with the big 3 I should be able to run a pretty good set up with that.
o yea man you will be just fine with those upgrades im tryna do the exact same
-
just wondering which battery is better to go with under the hood? between the sk-bt8785dt or the sk-bt60? i have the shuriken bt-80 that im gonna run in the back, just trying to upgrade my main battery.... a lil confused any info will help thanks!

Last time I checked subs don't require alternators and batteries, amps do. smh.
man i know amps do, im just saying by running around 3000rms would an 200amp be fine to keep the voltage up better, and stop all the light dimming!!!!!
We didn't know you were gunna run 3000rms
That's the info we needed
Any upgraded h/o alt will help way more then stock
IMO get the biggest one you can fit on your vehicle/afford
thanks bro appreciate it!!!!

What alternator is it? Will it even give you "200 amps"?
i found it on ebay its called excesive amperage 200amp alt price only 230 with shipping
-
2 Hifonics BRZ2100.1D 1 on each btl

i came across this 200 amp alt... i was wondering would that be enough amps to power two 15" btls with a battery in the back? or would i need an bigger alt? any advise would help thanks!!!!!

@ram o ok i understand i listen mostly to rap and r&b... i thought the bigger the box the more lows you"ll get out of it.... but you would put two btl"s in a 6cft box?
I don't believe you have the room to do 8ft^3 + displacements anyways. Add in a double baffle and you're easily looking at 11ft^3+.
ok guess ill have to do some measuring then i hope i can fit 8cubes
-
6 cubes net, tune to around 34hz (or anywhere from 30-36Hz) with 100-120 square inches of port. that's probably roughly what you'd be happy with.
And just get some decent amps, those Power Acoustiks are a waste of money.
lol ok i will do man
-
Connect your stock radio, and play some tunes full blast. Then connect your aftermarket one, and repeat. Notice how the stock one sounds like shit? Going to be the same with those sub amps. Get the cheap ass one, your woofers will sound muffled and will more than likely clip 10x faster than if you had, say an AQ, DC, Sundown, etc amp.
yea i know just gotta save up but i had one pa amp on one of my 15" btls and it pushed it pretty good
-
i got two 15" n2's on the way.... im trying to find a box builder, but wanted to know a good tuning frequency... so i would be able to get all the lows, and some mid-bass also i was thinking (33hz?) thanks!!!
-
whats the perfect box tuning for 15's to get all the lows and some mid-bass too?
-
@kranny them pa amps put out some power more than you think.... i know not 2000 but with good electrical it"ll be close

How much power do you have?
i have enough power to push both subs as of amps (2 pa bamf 5500) just need to uprade my alt

i have a 1998 dodge durango im looking to get a box build for 2 15" btl n2's... i wanna leave some room so i can see out my back window and store a battery.... cant do the whole 10cubes just wanted to know would 8cubes after displacments would be fine, and sound right thanks!!
