really your around the low 20s
AW DAMN haha thought it would be a tad louder than that :/
-
So, My question is pretty vague to say the least...
Basically I'm wondering how loud i am..(db) but don't have a meter.
What would you guys say it would be around if you were to guess? I have 2 12 SDC 2.5's and a 1200d amp...Custom box built by SPY. It will shake paper if it's held up to the window, and move your shirt a little in the car.
maybe 130's?
This is just a guess.....please no harsh comments lmao.
-
my bqad guys, wheres the right spot?
-
wrong place.....damn
-
the new price was 399.99 USD
so im thinking 300.00 probably.
ITS BRAND NEW!

Hey i am looking for 26" rims on a 2008 tahoe.
Can anyone link me to some good looking 26" rims?
-
What kinda batteries should he use then?
Its been said multiple times that only XS and Stinger batt's are comparable...
Excactly, thank you... lol
and i am sorry i am choosing XS over your other brand you choose!
Anyways...did those DC's hit hard?
-
I have DC lvl 4 XLs and i love them. I was goin to order AQ HDC3s but they didnt have the right size and voice coils availible at the time. The price difference wasnt much. The DCs sound quality is great.
I see, well do your DC's hit HARD? what do you use to power them?
-
How often are you planning on competing with this setup? What are your listening tastes?
I won't be competing really aanytime soon.. This is just for some good bass and car shakes ahaha.
I listen to Rap if thats what your asking.
Also to the other person about the battery, i am going with the xs because meade uses them and a lot of people say to use XS.
-
Battery depends on the amp, their site helps. As for the subs? I don't know sorry never had anything better than my DD.
Hmm, i want SPL, i have heard a lot of good stuff about the audioque, but now over the past few days ive been hearing and seeing youtube videos of some good stuff of dc.. Audioque is a little less expensive though. Anyone else know?
Also btw i will be using a AQ2200D amp i think.
-
Okay so i got my box for 2 12 inch subwoofers..
I am deciding audioque hdc3 12's
but then i saw the dc audio subwoofers....how much better are those than the audioque, if they are better?
Okay and now, what kind of xs battery should i get?
-
Ok I'll send you a pm bro
thanks!
-
Yo WTF are y'all talking about? I just need the box demensions
-
Okay now I'm confused lol
-
What? I have someone makin me a box I need to tell him howbig I need it
-
AQ2200D amp
and rap music in ported box.
-
Hey if i have 2 hdc3 12' subs, how big should the box be?
-
can anyone tell me?
-
Typically the front fuse used depends on how much amperage the wire can handle IIRC. In practice however, as long as your fuse is not smaller than the fusing at the amp you're fine.
Meaning, if you have an amp with two 30-amp fuses, you would be fine with a 60-amp fuse up front. If you are running 4-gauge wire though, you could run as big as a 100-amp fuse (although some local shops have told me that good 4-gauge can usually take as much as 150...)
Basically the front fuse is protecting against shorts between the battery and the amp, I.E. the wire grounds out against the firewall or floor.
Okay so i have AQ2200D amp (audioque)
0 guage amp wiring kit
The amp wiring kit http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KLM-AK0
asks you to pick a fuse size at the bottom, what should i pick?
-
pretty much it as far as the amp and subs go, make sure you ground the amp correctly to a bolt. make sure the surface around the bolt is clean and bare metal. setting the amp is a different story lol i rather have someone with more experience tell you how to set that...
Okay thanks for the grounding tip ill make sure to do that
and were you answering my fuse question at the begining? If so i dont understamd what you mean.
-
Basically what the remote wire does is get voltage to the amp when the head unit turns on, in turn telling the amp to turn on. I just ran mine with my power wire.
EDIT: ninja'd. You could put a switch on the remote wire though. I have one mounted on my dash for emergencies (read: when I see a cop.) flip the switch and BAM! the amps turn off.
Thanks, i think this is all i need to set everything up.
I love how these forums have a bunch of nice people who help! '
oh! one more question! for the amp kit that i linked, what size fuse do i pick?
-
on your head unit theres a wire that should be "remote wire" (usually blue and white) and connect the wire to that. then the other end goes to your amp.
Okay gotcha! Is that all i need to be setup?
-
yeah "head unit" lol yeah u need these other wire ur amp. other wise your amp will have power but no signal, no signal equals no bass. ill get u a link for the remote wire......
they sell it by the foot so how ever much you need...both sites are great to buy from!
Okay, and where does this remote turn on cable go?
Do i need a switch lol? >.< sorry never had subs before.
just wondering......(db?)
