deal or no deal?

K heres the deal.. we work together ( sadly enough , delivering chinese food but at 800 + a week its worth sucking up ur pride to do ) He has a shitty lil 90 accord he drives... He went back to his house 3 times today and brought his talon to work to do a insta swap... Asked me if i got it out yet .. I just laugh n say nope ... First off his subs are firing back .. The last time i helped him w his w7 he gained a pretty noticeable dif from just firing up .. In the 95 talons is there a good spl design? like crx style? which is subs up port back ( i believe )

I just figured 2 12 w3 s plus 100 bux would be worth it .. so basically im getting w3's for free and 100 bux.. If i could sell em for 400 or even 300 id already be on top , plus giving rusty some more business

i hope everyone doesnt think im doing a swap ( w3 for lv 3's ) I just wanna get the better end of the deal.. DC's will be back in my car within a week IF this trade does happen.. He about shit himself when he heard it.. I dont know what freq the first bass not of elevator is but that has to be near one of the peakk freq's of my car ... he was speechless.. as well as BME click

I would nd keep the w3's . if i did theyd be temp subs i could either sell or throw in my other car.. I just thought since he paid about 600 for his subs and box , some sucker might give me at least 400 if i put them in a nice box that I built .. Plus his hundred bux cash.. And considering i only paid 400 for everything ( subs, mdf glue , screws etc ) i d make out good .. Plus id be getting a new set of dc's anyways

ok .. A friend of mine who hated on dc cuz hes never heard of them ( yup , hes a lil slow and quick to the gun ) Just offered me his less than one year old 2-12 jl w3v3's and the box ( which ill use for firewood ) in exchange for my 2 12 lv3's and the box i built PLUS $100 bux.... I think this is a good deal , and im sure if i do it ill be having a few w3 paperweight s and rusty will get a pm in the next few days .. . So what does everyone think

my goal is do do a 150 in a trunk car in street class..imight just do it this time

yea def not that amp.. I wish i could get actual voltage readings.. I dont have a dmm now , all my tools are in storage since i dont have a garage All i can say is that this memphis is ALOT more efficient than my 1000/1 .. but i can also tell when im dropping voltage and power

i have an older one.. its about 4 yrs old.. brand new but 4 yrs old .. just took it out of the box when my dc's got here

longer post .. Semi REVIEW post Wow i didnt even catch that anyone was posting in this thread lol.. Thanks for the replies tho guys.. Just a few quick things.. Ive had 3 setups in the past 5-6 years.. 1 12w7 off a 1000/1 1 12 re sx off a memphis mc1000d 2-12 dc lv 3's As much as i love the dc's ( and i will be buying them again very soon ) obviously there not a w7.. But then again i could buy 4 of them with amps to give them rms power for the same price as 1 12 w7 at retail.. the w7 was imo worth the money, i mean it was sooo smooth, tight n responsive and hit lows better than any other single 12 ive ever heard, and ive heard alot , kickers, sounsplinter, rf, re, jl, jbl, id ( id love to hear the q's and the new xxx ) all in good installs.. but the w7 will always get hated on cuz its a jl, overpriced , overrated etc Basically what im getting at is that the w7 should not be even compared to the lv3s as an overall, the lv3s should at MOST be compared to a w3 orr w6 which i think retail is about 250 more than a lv3. My re was nice but could never get good numbers 140.x ( i cant even remember exactly ) and never hit the lows like the w7 but took a beating from hell The dc s i am so impressed by i cant even tell ya, For what i paid for these subs i really cant think of a better bang for the buck.. Im not talking just sounding good, but doing it while getting loud . I threw a single 12 in one of my old 2^3 boxes i had layin around and ran it off 2 ohm on the memphis ( which i believe is 600 watts ) and it sounded great .. Complete honesty it sounded louder and cleaner than the re off near double the power , but was not a w7 low end, and overall sq.. But what do you expect its basically 1/5th the price.. Ouput was very good ( never put it on the rta ) but sounded very good.. and loud.. As for the 2 of them off the 1000d it sounds great on every type of music and i listen to everything country, techno, rap rock metal ... Like i saoid in a previous post my buddy who has a 95-96 ? talon w 2 12 w3v3's was talking alot of shit because hes never heard of the copany and jl is huge.. He shut up quick and actually admitted tha it was badass.. Now i got him on the verge of ebay'n the w3 s for a 18 lv 4 or 2 12 lv 3s Anywho .. Hope i didnt bash any names, or sound like i was jumping on the bandwagon , but just wanted to say that rusty has my buisness and from what i hear at LEAST 3 of my friends wanna switch, or swap there high end 4-6 hundred dollar subs just from hearing my 150 dollar sub ( 175 shipped )

I just bought my girlfriends kid a 8 gb nano and was gonna put all my music on it and send it to him.. But i have quite a bit of language in alot of my playlists.. So my q is, whats the easiest way to sync it but an edited playlist.. I have about 1500 tunes and probably want to get rid of about 200 or so .. Hope this makes sense?

really bro?? i think it looks cheap... but its an spl/ delivery car so i guess looks mean nothing .. it performs damn nice for what it is.. 250 installed not a big deal since the harness from my 8443 matched up w this one

now im gonna try 30 hz just cuz u said it .. all i had was the dealers jl clean sweep cd and a tone cd that only went to 40 hz for some reason

i hate u j playin bro.. for one ... trunk cars ftl... did a few songs on the TL too not much dif really steady 143-144 off music... must be those resin 45 corners lol...

Just wish i had the sub in ur ava instead of my 3 's but these are pretty badass lil subs man, 600 bux total ( all brand new equipment ) for a Good sounding setup that does 145 is cool w me ..

Almost forgot the most important thing.... Did some testing today after i got the new HU in... did a 145.3 @ 46 hz .. Thanks again rusty .. very impressed

thanks man, like i said nothin special just needed a new one the 8443 died on me. Everytime i would start my car ** ONLY when i shut it off on CD player * it would pop the subs it was weird and most of the times especially in the morning when im not awake yet, scare the shit outta me lol... But it'll do for now.. Had to get a new hu to match the new lv 3 s

Not a big deal but i was looking for a deck under 400 and in my other thread I narrowed down to a pioneer and eclipse ( tossed the alpine .. Well i ended up going with an eclipse but not the 7100 or 7200 .. Since they only make 3 models this year i picked up the 3200 .. 5 volt, bluetooth, usb , hd .. And other than it looking cheap and a lil ugly It performs just as good as my old 8443 and actually makes the compoinents sound better ..
