  1. I would personally go for the type r's because of the extra cone area, but if you want a single sub then go with what memphis said, a DC level 4 12.

actually the dayton audio titanic mkIII subs will hit a little bit harder than the type r's and i would say that they are almost an equivalent to the dc audio level 3's except the dayton titanic's sound cleaner and move alot more air in my opinion.

  2. i had a dc audio level 3 15 about a month or 2 ago and i was running it on 1500 watts rms and i ran it on that much power for about 2 months :santa: but i would get 2 dc audio level 3 15's but if you do get them i wouldn't use the box that designed for the audioque's because that box was tuned higher because aq subs like high tuned boxes and the dc audio level 3's seem to like being tuned to around 32-34 hz with a decent amount of port area if you wanna hit the lows. but send me a pm and i'll redesign you a box for the level 3 15's.

  3. i'm guessing you want 2 12's? if so i would get 2 of these http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-404

    or 2 of these http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-466

    or 2 of these http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12859_Cerwin-Vega+V-Max122.html

and if you meant a single 12 then i'd get a dc audio level 4 12 with a level 5 coil.

all of those subs would be just as good as an alpine type r if not better :drinks:

  4. Thats true, But this box already has a slot port on it ..

He can still invert the sub, and gain a little more area ..

But that box is plenty big enough for his sub, i dont see any issues with it working fine ..

he should have somewhere around 1.6-1.9 cubic ft after displacement

  5. yeah i know it sucks. plus it feels like my bass is getting restricted because of the gas tank and trunk. i have a box for it but i was told it was to small? its 22x15.5x15.5 with a 1.75 inch port i think.

i can make you a box for $135 shipped

  6. Yeah, I'm definitely open to meeting you halfway, but I honestly don't see how to get it to fit in the car, the opening into the cab is smaller than the rest of the trunk and my trunk opening is really narrow, I have no idea how I could ever get a pre-done box into the car...

well if your seats flip down thats another option. but you would most likely have to take the seats out if it won't fit through the opening of the trunk. but if you can please try and pm me some measurements and if at all possible pics. (like just have pictures with you measuring the trunk area) and try and find out how wide the opening of the trunk is then all we would have to do is make the box as wide as the trunk opening and then use as much depth as we can and then use as a height of about 16-16.5 inches high or whatever the height is for were the seats flip down (that is if they do flip down). then if you can do that then i can design a box and build it.

  7. no its not totally stable at 1 ohm. seems like some of them are ok with 1 ohm but your need very good electrical to run it that low. i would only run them at 2 ohms just to be safe

so like if i had a 270 amp alternator, big 3 in 1/0 gauge wire, yellowtop altima, and a battery in the back. would that cover it? i've already don the big 3, and a yellowtop under the hood

  8. How clean? B) Okay now go back and measure it with an oscope and lemme know what you get before clip, clip, clip lol

the audiopipe amp has a 300 amp fuse rating i think (correct me if i'm wrong) so 300x13=3900

3900x0.78= 3,042 watts at 2 ohms with 13 volts. so i can probably turn the amp up to aout 3/4 volume and get about 2500 rms at 2 ohms without clipping....... or i could just get this :santa:http://www.audioque.com/aq/?page_id=261

a single 10 sub with around 10,000 watts :woot: i bet i could hit a 153 with one 10 in the right box on that power
