  1. i would be running about the same amount of cone area as 12 15's but i would have way less power but on the other hand those people's hair were flying and i'm not trying to get it to do that so i might be able to swing a hairtrick in the small room and it'll only cost me $1500 for everything :D now thats budget right there for 8 18's and a 4000 watt pro audio amp lol

EDIT:well not 4000 watts its actually 2500 but still

  2. Could be possible with 8 18"s, how high is the ceiling? Hopefully pretty low too, I say try it, good luck finding the amplification and shifting the boxes around into the room though.

the ceiling is 8 ft tall and i don't have the subs or anything i was thinking of getting 8 of these Dayton audio 18 sub

and one of these to power it behringer ep-4000

and is what i would do is build a wall that is 4ft away from the original wall and seal it off and it should be pretty bad ass with 8 18's and 2500 watts

  3. Hey there!

I have a few questions. I am going to purchase Fi 15's soon, and I was wondering, do they only sell it on their website? Or can I go to my local audio shop and purchase them there (new). And I posted a post early but I kind of didn't really get an answer back. So I am purchasing 2 Fi 15' BL's fully stocked running on a Soundstream TX12600D amplifier amp. My friend has uhh 2 15's, running the same amount of wattage (2.6k) and he doesn't have an alternator and it slaps and it sounds just fine. People have told me I need an alternator but I really don't want to buy one, so I am probably going to keep the stock. Will the subs and amp be fine? Because his is just fine, and yeah. And if this helps, I'm going to probably be driving an 04-05 Honda Accord Sedan. And 2 15's in the back, and yeah.. Haha so if you can answer both questions about the Fi Subs and the alternator, that will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Ok first off you can get the fi subs from there site here is the link. Fi Car Audio

Then I would recommend a little bit better amp for the price. An AQ 2200 should do the trick. Here is the link. AQ 2200

And then for a head unit here is what I would recommend. Pioneer DEH-P6200BT

And then if you don't have any components yet I would recommend these. Rainbow 5.25 Components.

And I can build you a box for 2 15's for about $75!! which is a hell of a price but it will be like $100 to ship send me a PM with the dimensions of your trunk and what kind of music you listen to and I will build you a box. I also have pics of previous builds.

  4. Okay I am wanting to get a single 10 or 12 sub that will hit at least a 141 on music off of 1400 watts rms.

Here are some of the subs that I have considered.

DC Audio Level 4 XL 10

    DC Audio Level 4 12

    DC Audio Level 4 10

    Fi Q 12

    Fi Bl 10

    Ascendant Audio Havoc 12

I was also curious about these subs that I saw on ebay.

I know the description is a bunch of :bull: but I saw that they were rated for 1000 rms a piece and I was thinking about getting 2 of them and running them off of the 1400 rms since they are so cheap and plus they look kinda beastly for just 10's.

  5. Thanks for the reply. I'll get back to him and suggest that if he wants a system he should have a $300 budget. I should sell him my old JBL's that's been sitting in my garage for the past 7+ years for maybe $40 ~_~

ANy ideas how much these subs are worth today?

it looks like it's rated at 250 watts rms each sub

i would try and suggest that to him quickly because that level 3 ends in a day or 2 but he has 3 so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

i would bid on this sub and try and get it now while its still up so lets just estimate around $120 for the sub with a max bid of 95 plus the 25 for shipping. and yes the sub does have a hole in the surround but that is an easy fix so well worth it.

with this amp so that brings the total to about 200 so far.

with this amp kit so now the toatl is 226 and i would just build your own box i can design you one if you want me to(just pm me) and it will probably cost you about $45 to make the box if you go to home depot and get 1 4x8 sheet of 3/4 mdf, wood glue, silicone, and 1.5 inch dry wall screws now that brings your total to $271. the first thing i would do since you have $150 is get the dc level 3 12 sub. the next thing i would do is build the box. then save some money and get the amp kit and lastly get the amp. and this should be a pretty clean budget setup that will work great for a daily! :good:

  7. Yeah I was thinking about selling it because I just got a DC Level 4 XL 15". It is a Dual 2 and right now I have about 1200 going to it at 1 ohm and it hits pretty damn good!

oh well email me for price because you can't sell stuff yet you don't have enough posts or you could post on ebay and i'll buy it lol my email is [email protected]
