i bought a pair 6x9 enclosures from memphis, packaging was very good, price was good.
will buy from again, thanks again bro
hopefully that worked
no problem man
-
I was thinking of something like this
idk that looks like a bandpass box i don't think you want that
-
do you want a 3 dimensional view or can i just give you the dimensions on the cut out pieces? oh and what are the dimensions of the trunk?
-
what went wrong?
apparently the circular saw i have is a complete pos cause when i turned it at an angle the thing came undone and i got the shit scared out of me cause i almost cut my arm off and yeah i guess i'll go and see if someone lives nearby that can do it for me
-
Kicker cvr's are in that price range but how much better sq wise can u get than rf?
have you used the p2's before?
-
Ohhh then get the p2's and party?
FOR 2 of them and there brand new.
will the p2's hit good for the price or is there anything better in that price range?
-
Well if ur speaker is only 40 watts max then u might want something diffrent and probaly older.
no i'm saying that the midrange and the tweeter are bot rated at 40 watts rms but the speaker crossover is rated at 300 watts rms
EDIT: the original woofer is rated at 200 watts rms
-
does your circular saw blade tilt?
im sure it does,
just tilt the blade. and run it down the board with another board clamped on top to guide it.
it will be alot cheaper, and the boards will most likely get damaged in shipping too.
i already tried that
-
Yeah u would need to check ur x-overs,are they 2 ways or 3 ways? if there 3 ways id imagine it would be fine, also wats ur wattage of all the other speakers in the tower? Id try to match that as close as I could.
3 ways and what do you mean by matching the wattage? do you mean to match the wattage with the tweeter and mid which is like 40 watts
-
Do you know what your towers are crossed over at? You can't just pick random subs to throw on a crossover designed for what's in it now. Usually you don't use subs in towers, because they aren't meant to play the notes needed. That's why they're called "subs"
0-300 hz for the woofer and 300-3500 for the mid
EDIT: 3500 hz and up for the tweeters
-
Lol I dont think any of them are going to be uber epic, im sure for a little more u could put some refurbed/used rf's in there.
do you think some rf p1's or p2's would do good?
-
Oh didnt see the first was a sub, either or really, with stuff like this u could probaly sell it to a noob locally if u dont like it, so id try either one, plus u could always say theres something wrong and get ur money back (..jk of course...)
well that was no help :/
-
Id buy one if i was u, throw it in a nice box, if it sucks sell it on cl for more than you bought it for, everyone loves flashy things.
i'm buying these as replacements for my towers so i need 2 and which sub? i listed 2 different ones

i was thinking of getting these for some home audio subs for my towers
would they be worth it?
or two of these instead?
-
i would get a soundstream xxx 15 if you can afford it
-
bump
-
memphis,tn i'll drive about 150-225 miles to get em
-
okay i don't have a table saw and i tried to do it with a circular saw and i epically failed can someone make me four 48 inch 45 degree cuts out of 3/4 mdf or 3/4 plywood doesn't matter. i'll pay $20-30 shipped.
EDIT: each angle needs to be 2 inches
-
hey man i have a re audio hc 15 that can take 2000 rms daily its an old re sub from 2001 back when scott from fi worked there.
-
Just remember, you get what you pay for
thats not entirely true
-
I've just never heard of them and there not cea rated and dosent even tell you the fusing I jus don't wanna be fucked and get it then only get 1400 out of it. What size inputs does it have.
its has 0 gauge inputs and i think its rated by the fuse that you put on the positive wire but it will do rated at 13 volts
EDIT: i think it might be a 200 amp draw for the amp to get the full power and it has 95% efficiency
-
I got the dual 2 so I can only wire down to 1 ohm and are planet audio amps 1 ohm stable? And the 270 one is only 1400 watts I can get one of the new hifonics that do rates for 270 that does 1700
that amp does 2400 watts rms at 1 ohm (maybe more) which will be plenty of power for that sub and it is a kick ass amp for the price i would get it from that ebay link i sent you because thats the cheapest i've seen it. did you even open that link i sent you becaue it has the pricing and specs oh smart one
EDIT: oops the listing already ended well i would just get this one then its basically the same thing and does 2400 at 1 ohm
-
planet audio makes some kick ass budget amps and they do more than rated power
what should i try tune my 12" sub to... in my room
in Pro Audio / Home Audio / Home Theatre
Posted
what sub do you have and how much space??
