  1. Sure a 2:1 or 3:1 will be louder, but you sacrefice bandwidth for output, a 1:1 though will still be loud.

The reason im doing a 1:1 is because of limited space, and a wide range of music types, lots of decaf, dubstep and hiphop/rap.

When it comes to BP's you just gotta play with it. The ratios and tuning/chamber displacement change per driver specs.

  2. The higher the ratio the peakier it will be.

If you are looking for daily flat response, lower the ratio.

    Im doing a 1.1:1 with a platform 3 18. 3 sealed, 3.25 ported @ 45hz.

2 cubes sealed per sub is really small, do 3 cubes, maybe seperate the sealed chambers with a baffle. Mount the subs with the motors in the ported section, will aid in cooling and if ur burning coils u'll be able to smell it.

3" coils have a limit to the abuse, no matter how small the chamber is.

Design the box right with as little rise as possible and you what need tones of power to be loud.

So i say do 2.5-3 sealed per chamber, seperate chambers. and between 10-12 ported if you are sticking on the 2:1 ratio.

  3. Any update on the remaining 90 units?

they were SUPPOSED to be here thurs/friday last week.....looks like they will now be here this week (any day now) and they WILL be shipped the minute they arrive. I am getting tired of this, i will stop telling you guys when something is supposed to be here BASED ON what i am being told by others. I was told i would have them by last week.

thats just a small hiccup though, no worries, the shit WILL ship soon....thanks! :)

Hey Steve I've got no complaint towards you, was just curious as to the status of them.

i'm pretty patient.. ill start becoming impatient once i know its on the way :D

    David

  4. im glad to be able to say i placed my order over an hour ago. shipping was expensive at a price of 80 bucks, due to using fedex (only option, i do reccoment using USPS for international shipping, its way cheaper). but after waiting for so long and bugging Tony about this neat tool, i just had to have one!

proud to own the first D'amore/SMD product in Israel :)
