Just saw a news story on the local news site about three kids that died in a house fire this past Saturday about 45 minutes away from here. Now, the grandfather & grandmother of the kids was involved in a head-on crash with a woman who was swerving to avoid debris in the middle of the road. I don't know who it is personally, but things like this really do make me appreciate who I have. My family's not perfect (noone's is), and although people have their differences and issues, you should really think about all that they have done for you. I thought this Christmas was going to be horrible because my parents were divorced, but seeing my family be there for all the legal troubles I've had the past two months, I'm happy they are here with me today. They get along, don't start drama, and know how to be friends. My stepdad likes my dad, and my mom likes my dad's girlfriend. This is probably going to be the first holiday season in about 5 years that (most of) my family will spend time together.
And since I didn't see a topic, might as well say it now. Everyone be safe, have a good time, be safe on your travels no matter where it takes you, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

iceman, if i am reading the other posts right, you were second? I didnt see your video but i saw the other one first and i already gave him the gold membership. I gave you a silver membership instead....you guys should both have extra options opened up as well as the google ad free skins (choose from drop down at bottom).

May not play right off, fresh from the youtube upload. But, its almost midnight here, i live in apartments, and its close to 20 degrees outside. So I couldn't turn them up loud due to neighbors and weather, but it is a video of me riding around till the whole song plays out. I'll get a better vid tomorrow while everyone is at work!

Edit: It sounds like shit at first, didn't really crank it up (if thats what you can call it) till about 1:00 in, then had to turn it down because I passed by the Police Station before that last left turn!
You suck, I can't drive around for another 2 weeks, but I may go out to my car tomorrow and test out my new enclosures. Vid's uploading, did it free air.

Thanks. One has about 2 hours of break in, the other half hour, so they're still stiff as hell, and I'm putting about 1500-2000w to them, not in huge amounts, just turning the gain up until it sounds good.
I think if his video does go up he deserves it though. I wasn't expecting to win anything, just gave me something to do since I've been stuck in the house for 8 weeks.

Best to run your highs off the front output exclusively then.
Been doing that. Tried it with rear/subs sharing, but the sub controlled the rear output too. I'm hoping for a new h/u from Alpine for xmas so I don't have to worry.

How is turning your sub control down on your headunit affecting your door speakers?
I'm thinking his H/U may be linked to the sub output. Mine is too for some weird ass reason...only has front/rear outs with the rear acting as sub...which is why I need a new h/u

If they're on stock headunit, or aftermarket with no amplifier, then it's not putting out enough power. Get a good aftermarket H/U and/or amp, make sure the x-over is set to take out the low frequencies i.e. 80Hz or so. You can put a $1k set of speakers in a door but if you send it a $5 signal, it's gonna tell you to f*** off big time.

Couple tips, it should be "12V" instead of a "V12" plate, it's not a Porsche/Ferrari engine...

I don't have it installed yet, That one that you see is a stock 1w LED. I said that it will take 3 to 4 weeks to get the SST-90.
By the way it is a 4.2v SST-90, so.. I canceled it & I seen this SST-90 3.2v for $55US Free shipping. That 4.2v SST-90 I canceled was only $40us Free shipping. So, The dude with the SST-90 3.2v will not accept my offer of $35US, he gave me a counter offer of $54US. Woohoo!

There has to be someone that knows how to make these shirts that can get them to us cheaper than other companies. Maybe work with a company that donates a piece of audio gear for the winner & can pay for the shirts or something. Complicated, but worth looking around.

The proof is in the pudding. We went ahead and dyno'd the unit extensively, and were able to achieve a peak output of 375 amps in the dyno. Real world testing at about 100 degrees on the Silverado yielded a little over 350 amps with 180 amps at 600 rpm idle speed!!!
Here's a vid of on of the 4 SMD units installed on my own personal truck for testing. I was really careful putting it in so I didn't scratch up the custom paint.

Some good news. I was supposed to graduate last Friday (12/17), but due to weather, the graduation ceremony was cancelled, which wasn't a pleasant surprise for the family coming in from PA & FL. I did get $200 in cash and a new video camera as graduation gifts, which I will save. I did submit a Christmas list to my family, as I haven't been out to get some cash in almost 3 months, so money isn't exactly great. Hopefully, some of the stuff will come in, including but not limited to 40sqin of Damplifier, a Kinetik HC1800, Crescendo CCX65 components, Audiopipe AP200.4 amp, Alpine IDA-X305S H/U, STL fire lights & Whelen siren, and some 1/0 wire. Whatever I don't get but have the money for I will purchase not long after Christmas. I will more than likely work on the box this weekend after all the Christmas activities are done. Final design comes out to 32"W x 16"H x 22.5"D, 4.23 cubes to 32Hz. I did make two smaller boxes that I was going to use for the subs, but I figured a single shared box would work better.
And, since I have nothing better to do, I've been doing free air tests with my EP2500 wired to 8 ohms, 500w. Got a quick video Friday night with my new camera of one of the 12's doing some excursion free air, so here you go.
