  1. Umm 2 ohms and above really because the amp isnt 1 ohm stable its a small boot really, the 2 audiobahns at 2 ohms would set car alarms of on the single amp, so i was wanted similar performance really by playing the cheap subs in a decent box, from what you have said im guessing my original idea of 3 12s in a decent airspace box with the port tuned quite low would b best, would you say having all 3 subs sharing the airspace or partition the box into 3 pats would b best, my guess is no partitions as its off 1 amp? Thanks

  2. thanks for the opinion, you ask about the subs, umm well as i destroyed my 2 decent audiobahns i am going cheap for the moment, with jbl just normal dual 2 ohm voice coils at like 400 rms each i doubt they need a great deal of airspace. the reason im going jbl is because they are on big discount at the moment and i in major lack of funds but cannot drive without some bass, so again which wuld be louder with the above informaion taen into account? also another problem i have though about is that i will be running of 1 kicker kx700.1 i n i an run 3 of them at 3 ohms but if i had 6 of them would they be able to be wired above 2 ohms(which the amp is stable at) or is 6 subs and 1 amp a bad idea, thanks

  3. no need to get like that, i have been installing car audio for 6 years around school and stuff, when i was 10 i had a ford fiesta, and old banger fit for the scrap heap but i took it to pieces and ended up with front components rear coaxials and a 10 inch sub.... wasnt ever gonna put out any high spl but it was a start... i mean i used to run 8 guage for power, now thats speaker cable... even tho you didnt take me seriously! i kinda understand why, i cant believe i didnt think of something so simple... 2 remote wires. thanks man.

  4. alright guys, id be very appreciative if you could help me with this, basically i have a new project build from the bottom up in my first car as i learn to drive in 4 months, i have already been installing car audio for 6 years but i still know nothing in some areas,,, basically i want to run a 5 channel amp for fronts, rears and a 12 inch sub.... for everyday use with a nice sound. then when i want to show off i will have 2 15s in the trunk on a seperate battary and monoblock amp but i want it on a switch so when i wanna show off i can flick a switch and it powers up... my idea is to buy a 200 amp circuit breaker, (can handle 2400 watts) then put that in the middle of the 0 guage from the positive of the second battary... thus when circuit breaker is put on it lets current flow to the amp when its off it will not? would this work? any help is a appreciated?
