yea owning jl is like owning a harley its for the name i had some over the years and never really impressed jls that is not a harley lol as far as rockford for amps that a good choice could also look into sundown sound digital crescendo lots of good stuff out there man

my system is in my sig but like felipe82 said for amps also hifonics are a good bang for buck amp as far as subs go i have RE now and im happy with it when i upgrade im looking at T3 if not DC but theres a lot of good brands out there AA FI sundown look around the forum and you can find lots of builds with these brands most with vids and lots of pics

so with upgrading subs what are you looking to gain i agree with getting a different amp but i see why you would want to stick with the 5 channel. and yea i have a 2000 tahoe

I have two Boston g3 12s on a RF power 1000 5 channel ,they sound great but I wanna get somethin a little bigger and turn the gain up more. Sub suggestions? Box is 3.8 cu. ft. tuned at 32hz

Ok so im totally new to systems and all and when building my box toady i got the wrong board i didn't get MDF boar i got particle board under-laminate. yes i know its not the right stuff now but i have the box built already double on the wall were the subs will be. So what should i do try it and see what happens. take a hammer to it to relieve stress and go get the right board?

well if you arent running anything too crazy as far as subs and power i suppose it may get you by for a bit but def remake in mdf when you can.

I understand what you're saying but looking at the specs...the JVC has 7EQ bands, pioneer only has 3. JVC has 5volt preout, pioneer has 2.2v idk im really leanin towards jvc or alpine.
thanks for the input though....would like to get some more ideas.

pioneer bro cant go wrong lots of eq control high volt preouts front and rear usb for ipod or flash drives and they sell the wiring to work with the steering wheel controls

i was thinking of finally taking my jeep out (garrett t60 t3/t4 on a chevy 305) and maybe showing the local ricers whats up, but i dont want to snap my driveshaft or something, idk if the factory shaft can handle 700hp.
700hp out of a 305? id love to hear whats done to this motor.
