i have just one resx 18 in a box that the idiot i got it from built thats around 2.5 cft and not sure what its tuned to but on around 800 watts rms in my 2000 tahoe hit 143 on music so id say its possible to get near 150 with that set up

i have gotten same exact email for several things i have sold on craiglist all from different names but worded exactly the same listen to everyone its a scam dont even bother with it

Mucho respect for you coming in here knowing what you have and not trying to brag out your ass about it. U even claim amateur in your title, you've got the right way of thinking. I think you'll do well on this forum, look around and you'll learn more than enough to do your own sick installs. Start studying with Meade's build threads and then take a good look at all the other amazing builds in the member build section and you'll be pro-level in no time.
^x2 and it is a clean install maybe someday you can wall off two 18s in the back seat

Eh, like $70.00 more right now new. http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-BXi-2010D-MONO-CAR-AMP-AMPLIFIER-BXI2010D-NEW-/310227647619?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item483b023c83#ht_3109wt_930
Basically just newer circuitry, technology, etc. You're looking at a 2006 model, this is a 2008 model.
alright also how do i set the phase on the amp i have never dealt with that on an amp before
-
How much are you paying for the 2006? In most cases you can get the 2010d for about $20.00 more. I've ran the Bxi-608, Bxi-1610d, and the Bxi2010d. Not one problem. hard to beat the power you get for the money. If you run a 2010d and keep your voltage up you have nothing to worry about.
$224 shipped on ebay whats the difference between the two?

thanks for the help looks like i made my mind up lol

im curious...why are you putting an 8" into the door? is it because it looks cool...youve seen it done on some of the cool rides or on meades youtube videos? or are you actually trying to increase the sound stage?
im only asking because i think the reason why youre doing this would be a good way to find out whats best for your plan. i honestly love the pioneer shallow mounts
i agree about pioneer and the price isnt too bad either
-
opinions are like assholes we all have one and i do have experience with subs
-
first dont put 8"s in your doors spend that money and get 2 good 10"s or even 12"s if you have room the kickers imo suck both memphis and RE have good shallow mounts if space for subs is limited
-
i think the memphis m3s have amazing sq and even ported sound awesome i have one in my 95 firebird with an alpine 450 mono on it in a slot port box built to spec and it hits really hard as well as clean & responsive
-
thanks for all the input so i know they dont have fuses in them and it doesnt say what size to use inline what size should i use i was thinking 200 or 250

im looking to get a new sub amp and wondering what people thought about hifonics i was looking at the bxi2006d just wondering the rms power i could expect i have stock alt and big three if that helps
-
regardless what brand turning the head unit all the way is going to distort the speakers but i agree with getting components and infinity and rockford have very good sq imo on the cheap pioneer isnt bad either
question about components
