  1. my two cents for budget builds. go to onlinecarstereo.com and finr yourself some pioneer championships. fucking awesome subs that get low and loud without a lot of power and really nice on the wallet. those subs suck in my opinion, and like kranny said those are some awesome subs out there that are built with quality in mind, but a little out of your range for what youre wanting to do.

do those pioneers, find a nice 2000watt amp and feed those puppies some air!

And what would the other subs be that would be out of my price range, I could always save up for them.

  2. Okay, you should put some of your budget aside for an alarm if you don't have one already, it's not fun spending a lot of money and it being stolen later. For a beginner setup, there is a lot of ways to do this. For example, I currently have two 10" Kicker CompVR's in a 3.5 cubic foot ported box, tuned to 38hz paired with a Kenwood KAC-9104D with 900W RMS @ 2-ohms. I also have a hatchback and it's pretty loud, but it could vary for your car. I would suggest you get a four gauge wiring kit for you amp, I like Rockford Fosgate's because they seem reasonably priced for the quality in my opinion. You may be thinking you could be spending a lot of money, but I like to shop at SonicElectronix.com because they are one of the cheapest "name brand" sellers on the internet that I've found.

So Kicker would be a good brand to start out with? I've also heard that the Alpine Type R's are nice.

Well I'm thinking of getting 2 of these...

Good Buy or not? And also if I did buy them, what amp would I need to get with them?

  3. dont get that box, or that sub amp combo. 2 totally shitty choices. tell us your budget (specifically for what, like subs and amps or sub and amp and box and wires etc) and what kind of space you have in your car (in inches for width depth and height).

Like $750 for everything in the car. I'm not really concerned with the highs and lows just yet, now I'm just thinking about the bass in the back and a headunit possibly. I just want the most bass for my money. So if you guys have any specific subs and amps that you would recommend just shoot me a link. Thanks for all the tips! I don't know the exact dimensions, because I wouldn't know how to measure with the hatchback and it being angled. Also if ported is the same thing as vented, apologies for being so new to this, I would want that.

  4. if i was you id go see if a 3 cubic foot box will fit then id go look for a box on the internet or start thinking of how your going to build your box

Here's the box that I would get

I was mainly just wondering if those are good subs and if I should get them or other ones.

  5. Okay, so I basically started watching Steve's videos a while ago and it really got me into car audio. Now I have my car ready to go, I don't know what I should get in the trunk. This is my first system and I have around $750 dollars to spend (Including wiring and everything, not just subs) and I need advice on what to get. I was thinking about getting these

But I don't really know. I really need some guidance and advice from a experienced audio enthusiast, because I'm so new to all of this. All and any advice is welcomed! I also have a hatchback car, 2003 Hyundai Tiburon Gt, so I can't get something extremely huge.
