lol wait a second wire? just one or actually a piece of speaker wire that has 2 conductors a pos and neg? also check the phase of your woofers it sounds like you have a phase issue. pop your speakers with a cordless drill battery to make sure they are botrh moving outward. also use a rca y adapter on your sub outcheck your rca connections as well as at the headunit need to know what kind of head unit is it hooked to the sub out? does your head unit have some sort of bass gain?
Its the Jensen UV10 dvd HU. Its hooked to the normal amp out (unsure what to do for the sub out since its only one rca). It does have bass gain but IIRC its not much and since my dad messed up on the box I cant access my screen to adjust that.
How are the subs wired?
In a way I dont understand and I think isnt right at all but the guy at best buy wired it and my brothers friend (who apparently knows a lot about car audio) said its the way he would have wired it. The amp speaker wire goes to one sub, and then a second wire goes from that sub to the other.

Ive heard the 5 in person and they are impressive. i think he has a few more tricks to get them louder:)

Sorry to tell you this but the loudest in dc in nor cal is 170+ db drag in upper lake with 1 18 lvl 5

and where port comes into the cabin. not sure how much room oyu have back there ...
i put 2' pvc on the edge of my port the inside is semi 45d and im off my doors with my port roughly 7' the thickness of a d3100

Took home another first yesterday and a second at calis 1st meca event of the new year thats 4-1sts 1-2nd and 1-3rd in the 3 shows ive been in. at least i took 2nd to another team dc member yesterday (nyman 2 lvl 5 18s) hes loud as hell and a good competetitor. my xls burp a consistent 154 all day long!

not to rain on your parade but real world power is going to be much lower after box rise. id start at a lower imp to get max power

my best score is 154.4 sealed on the dash at 38hz im running 4 xl 18s in a way too small box off of 2 DD m4s strapped at .7 rising to 4.6 and giving me 5400 watts. im going to mess with my port today to try and get my rise down

i see people w Neos doing music on them though and i thought they were just for SPL for the longest time but i see music out of them all day w no problem...examples...Thorshammer w his Lvl 5 neos, Steves Exterra had DDZs which were neos and he played music fine...IN AN SPL WALL, Pulse Car Audios DD Beast w the 15" DDZ...it plays music fine...ive sat in all 3 w music and it was all gravy...and they do some hella numbers...i want that w my truck to do just all out more...in every way

I know this is for Rusty, but I know Neo isn't for daily at all. Ferrite is. If the lvl 6 is ferrite, it should be fine for SPL and daily use. Ive talked to Jacob at Sundown about Neos about 2 weeks ago

go for the neos chode the 6s have a 4" coil and handle more power.but i like the neos i think the neos on 4 3500s for you would be devastating. damn i should be quiet, now you are going to be louder than me

well i clamped it yesterday and i have bad rise my amps are making some power though 5646 watts at 4.6ohms amp start at .35. my numbers stayed the same on burp. i think my barns doors and rear doors are depressurizeing at 154dbs nbo matter what i try it stays there. but i can play music much much louder hit a 148 at 30hz on 1 song made the box jump and strippin out my woofer mounting screws. i bought some 1/4 t nuts and bolts to stop that. the bass loosens all my speaker screws it sucks. anyhow working on a new port and hopefully my rise will come down. anyone with any suggestions? help me out. id love to get more power from my amps from a lower ohm load. oh and my voltage is fine stays in high 13s (3 220amp irragis

got my amps back from being modded yesterday. WOW! shits fuken breakn in my hoe, bass seems so much lower and powerful. going to put the bish on the TL tommorrow wish me luck:)

ask around to what s10s peak at i know the xtra cabs peak at 40hz or so id say tune to 35 and be done with it. how much power do you have, and how many and what size lvl5s. just read your sig. id do 5cf tuned to 35. its a cut through right? lol my bad extended cab. pics of box please
